The stat sharing is what ruined Meepo. It's insane and is what ruins the games. If a 1500 hp clone was jumping all over the place, that can be dealt with accordingly. EM = Easy Mode.

It allows newbs to pick carries all day and not farm and still get items.

NON-EM allows for more ganks and teamplay. Heroes like - Zeus/Dark Seer/Visage become better early game options in non-em

Regular AP also lowers the Meepo effect which is a HUGE plus.
