Hey guys, been playing this game off and on for a few years. I'll jump right to the point.
I'm interested in developing for Island Defense, mainly for Dota 2. I'd enjoy helping out on WC3, but I really want to see Dota 2 ID happen. I've left a reply on islanddefense.org on the "Dota 2 megathread" about it, and am awaiting a notice. I'm not sure if that was the right place to go to see about joining up, so if anyone could talk to me or point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!
In case someone is worried about me being inexperienced in programming, here are links to two projects I've done. One is a video game I programmed in Python, and another is an IoT project with Raspberry Pi (C#). Also have some Lua experience, but nothing major.

I wanna see this game expand/improve! Hopefully I can be contributing soon

Re: Develop for ID
Onahail is up to some other stuff and has abandoned the project.
I forwarded this thread to him and this was his reply.

I don't know if the stuff for the terrain is there, if anyone is serious about this I can contact smygarn to send the files (He is also the terrain editor for the dota 2 version). I don't have the contact for the other devs, but I think I might have an idea on how to contact them. They might be interested to continue if someone can lead the project.
Cheers.

Onahail wrote:Look man you can post this to entgaming if you want as like an official statement but between planning for a wedding, multiple projects at work, and all the shit I have to get done on my house I just don't really have the time to sit down and program a mod anymore. The code on github is up to date if anyone wants to finish up the project. I'm sorry I disappointed the community but my life is far too hectic. I don't have 3-4 hours every day to sit down and program like I used to. I also just don't have the motivation to spend the free time I have dealing with DOTAs limited coding options and the headaches that come with it to make a mod that won't deliver on the expectations of the community. I'm sorry

Re: Develop for ID
Lynx, thanks for reaching out to him and getting us in the know. I tried running his files in Dota 2 Modding tools but the code seems to be pretty broken. This might be because I don't have the map though. If I could get that and it works, I'll seriously consider continuing Island Defense's development.
I could start from scratch, but that's obviously not preferable.. Although I might do that anyways. I really would like to see this game in Dota 2, as well as get the experience of modding.
PS: If anyone is interested in developing Dota 2 Island defense, please contact me. This project would be more doable and fun if not alone.
