That's a horrible idea, that doesn't solve anything in terms of balancing the stats.
You're just going to make it inconvenient.

It was a compromise. I am still against the stats and we can completely remove it.

Possible Solutions for the Island defense stats system.
Minions
If a minion kills a (single) builder he should be regarded as playing for the titan's side (and gain elo if the titan wins/lose elo if the titan loses).
After killing a builder the minions elo should remain locked with the titan's so even if they opt out using -obs (or are kicked) they lose elo if the titan loses and vice versa.
*Perhaps a 3 minute time limit should be given to the minion (after killing his first builder) to type -obs and not assist the titan anymore*
Minions who die without killing any builders should have their elo locked with the titan's, to prevent and discourage suicide as a minion to gain elo as a builder.
Titan
Should be able to leave without losing elo if there are 3 leavers within the first 10 minutes. You could give the titan the ability to use !draw if there are 3 leavers (the system should also be able to detect observers) so the game would be irrelevant in terms of elo.
Builders
Players who die and become observers should have the elo they gain from builder victory lowered (or halved?)
Players who type -titan should gain elo from victories and lose very little or no elo from losing.
Kill/Death doesn't record anything and should be fixed, minions should be included in the kills.

ELO is a good thing, but when a downloader comes in and feeds like crazy, chances of loosing are high, this causes some people to loose a small amount, maybe 1 or so but if it was an ALT ACCOUNT for a pro titan it might take around 3, PLus., Taoi, And Timmy IF lost (Very Unlikley to happen) It may take A lot more than that, I see so much people glitch elo in games its not funny.

Seconded. It just so happens that stalling is a legit way to win you the game, so I still maintain a high win% with high % builder deaths. Win/win.

At the current moment stats are really just to tell win/loss but you can still see ELO on the stats website, I think there should be an ELO reset every new release of an ID map version.

Stats and elo system in ID are rigged anyway. You can play 100 games and die 100 times as builder yet have 100/0 stats because other builders still won in the end.
Also strange that someone with e.g 2k elo loses less on a loss as builder than ppl with 1.5k, legit.
