Also just thought I would comment on how everyone says Panda needs 100k lumber to base (this is mainly a joke I assume?), but really panda needs "only" about 80k lumber for a base that has over 100 food in towers (no golem walls), with all the towers being in attacking range on at least 2 walls.

I think this picture also does a little to show that panda should require fruit trees for filling base space.

Re: Balancing thoughts for Panda
Add golem walls and youre close to 100K. But even 80K is a shittonne of lumber and what base panda gets at 80K compared to what gnoll gets at 80K is a big difference.
1000lumber a minute approximately, 80 min for decent base that would hold at around 30 mins or less.

Re: Balancing thoughts for Panda
Ehh, it is an 80k lumber base, but that is an absurd example, it is a base that is over 100 food. Here is a normal 40k lumber base.

Honestly, volcanos are comparable in dps and cost to taurens towers, and panda can also build the towers to fill the gaps, it seems balance in that way to me.

Re: Balancing thoughts for Panda
Well as I said, 40k gnoll/makrura/troll/faerie/Nature/etc > 40k Panda. Damage isn't the problem, the resources are. Normal builders max out their base at around 40-50k while pandas needs to double that. Panda also needs more gold than most.

Re: Balancing thoughts for Panda
It's more like a bonus to have a full scale panda base. By that point in the game, titan is either stalling or the panda got lucky with knocking down minions. I think finding more features etc. for a single form is more effective, much like some of the ideas and what Neco has said.

Re: Balancing thoughts for Panda
I always thought it would have been more balanced if Panda could choose only 1 of the three forms. Having all three basically makes him very costy builder, since he needs upgrades for all three forms. But as a very different and diverse builder he's hard to balance.

I don't personally fancy that idea - the builder section would be cluttered with Pandas, but along my idea of restricting him to only one element, of course those elements would be more diverse themselves, not requiring all three. But of course each having pros and cons.

ShadowZz wrote:I actually agree with Lynx, they don't necessarily need to all still be pandas but splitting them into 3 new builders would be better.
Well could work, then again we need extremely well-fitting models for that since we don't want to overlap Moltenious or Voltron with the elements, not Breezerious for that matter.

Re: Balancing thoughts for Panda
Panda is fine the way he is! Panda is shit all game because he is a jack of all trades, which makes him an extremely fun builder to play who fits all niches.
