Item Hotkeys

This was the next topic I wanted to discuss. This isn't that big of a topic though.

I'm still using Burn's old, old macro "invent_keys.exe" which simply maps NUMPAD-784512 to Alt-QWASZX. Haven't switched to this yet, as I didn't feel like I needed the additional features.

Warkeys btw sux, cos if you hold down Alt and press say Q and W, only the first item (Q) will be used. You need to release Alt and press it again, for Warkeys to recognize the "multi-button combo". Whereas Burn's old macro works perfectly. (Just had to get used to F10 > E > Q instead of AltQQ to leave games.)

But anyway, the main topic here is where you like placing your items in the inventory? (As Titan, since you barely use items as Builders.)

For me:

Wotw Pearl
Ward Whatever
Whatever Whatever

And late game, for sieges, I have the top left slot empty on all units so, I can always just Alt Q to Titanic then swap.

For me:

Only Ward / beast scroll or berzerker or life essence
Pearl or eye of the ocean / wotw
permanent item / permanent item

Pearl / ward
Wotw / other on-use items (scroll, eye, etc)
Perm item/perm item

On minions I tend to leave first slot open for ward, and on first minion in the control group I'll put:
Empty(for ward) / pearl
Wotw / life essence (or other on use item, if no Le)

I tend to replace mains wotw slot for neut wand or other on use item later on.

Seems like a weird layout that would cause confusion, but I guess I'm used to it at this point.

Also I use war keys, and keybind alt1-alt6 for inv use, cause noob.

Alt + A and Alt + Q Alt + W is the easiest to reach for me because I use thumb on alt, ring finger on A/Q, which is the most comfortable for me.

That's why pearl goes in Alt + Q, wotw on alt + A, Alt + W = maybe ward block.

Most times I can't be bothered re-arranging the inventory though, so I just look at where the item is first, then i'll use the alt hotkey.
