Got problems with delay and a ping of 60
Yeah, you've read that right. Ping 60 and delay feels like 500 - 1000 ms , depends on how lucky i am. I am from Romania, but still with my ping, the game should play butter smooth so wtf is going on ? I'm playing dota. I tried using VPNs with gateways set to US east ( closest to the server) and i started recieveing mass bans on all my accounts, until i eventually ran out of Free Vpns to use. I tried port forwarding on my router on ports 6112-6119, but it didn't open them according to port checking sites on my browser. I am desperate , what gives ?

Re: Got problems with delay and a ping of 60
ping 60 is normal for romania, vpn's will increase the ping no matter where from what i can tell, and i watch everyones ping pretty closely, i havent seen a case yet where a vpn decreases someones ping, everyone else from eastern europe has ping 60 and play just fine. asian ping is somewhere closer to 100. western europe is like 40-50. north east usa is like 10-20; west coast and south/south east is like 30-40; the lowest i see is usually canadians around toronto with less than 10 sometimes. the game is over 20 yrs old at this point so i dk where else you can fix that (and this ent system is also very old). reset router fixes 90% of problems. dont know what else to say other than its your system.
Re: Got problems with delay and a ping of 60
It's funny. When i use the !checkme command in-game, it tells me a ping of 60. But i knew this was wrong. So i modified my registry settings under the Gameplay section of W3 to show me the ping in W3, also -Apm and other gameplay related things. And just as i suspected it shows me a ping of 170-180. And it sure feels like it. Sometimes the delay feels like almost a second. 1000 ms. I did notice that when i start dota in singleplayer mode the game is not snappy at all, units move all sluggishly even though the ping is 0. So i do suspect that this is also a game engine problem made by Blizzard , either intentional or unintentional. For i can remember when the first dota maps came out, 20 somethingish years ago, the game ran butter-smooth with 120 + fps even on a potato. Now it is capped at 60. Big corporations are corrupt af, and as soon as they can't make any more money of a product , they destroy the product in question. That is not just my conspiracy theory , that is the truth. I did not play dota in a long time , yet the sluggishness of the game is still here as far as i can tell.
