Its not fun having to wait and wait until I can join a game that is fair. 1600 and 1400 against 900, 877. We know who's going to win from the get go. What's the point in joining if there's no "who's going to win" aspect to it?
I think there should be a cap before they have to join the 1100+ games because it is just not fun having pre-decided games and everyone trying to maximize their W/L record.
Maybe 1200 ELO or 1250.
There should be a max ELO rating to whom can join regular games

I understand where you are coming from. But I think people will rather do more and more smurf-accounts than play on a higher bot.

Or if you're a 1900-2100 elo player like me, you just want the game to start without people going !scores, STACKER, MAPHACKER, !sd !sd !sd !sd

I think there will be a couple people who would smurf, but I believe a lot more people will go to the higher ranked games so they can actually increase their ELO beyond 1250 so they can look good and have that "i'm better than you" status

Reality check: number of high elo players is small. HR games have failed countless times.
So, are you suggesting to change the LTD 1100+ bot to 1200+ ?
Or, are you trying to say that there should be a 0-1200 bot only and a 1200+ only bot ?

LOL that is so true and normally it's the 1100-1200 range elo guys doing the !sd and stacking the teams and such. If you see a 1600 hopping onto a 1400 team or visa versa its because they're friends usually its not for elo purposes.greenmtn wrote:Or if you're a 1900-2100 elo player like me, you just want the game to start without people going !scores, STACKER, MAPHACKER, !sd !sd !sd !sd
Honestly this suggestion sounds like it would punish players for being good. Truth is good or not people just want to play a game and not wait forever for it to start. If you force a player off a public bot that fills relatively fast onto one that takes 30+ minutes to fill bot chances are they'll get fed up and quit. Or they'll pretty much say the hell with elo I just want to play and smurf.

This game is around a decade old. If you aren't good at DotA 1 yet then it's probably already too late. The Dota 2 community is absorbing the remaining players on DotA 1. It's happening right now as I speak. You'll have to face the harsh reality of the truth. The game barely has enough people to justify it's unranked bots, let alone ranked ones. High ranked hosted lobbies never fill. Putting a maximum elo rating on bots will only encourage people to smurf.
