8mb map limit bypass (full guide)

All right I see so much more people being dropped from games like "The World" and "Soul Gate", etc... so I will compile everything you need to one place:

Steps:
1. If launched, exit your Warcraft 3.
2. IF U DONT HAVE 1.27 PATCH, go to: http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/war3x/patch ... nglish.exe, and download patch.
3. Copy it to your Warcraft 3 directory and run.
4. When that is done, go to: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/threads/war ... -6.259571/, and download it.
5. Copy "mapsizelimit" and "forcemapsizelimit" to your Warcraft 3 directory.
6. This will not work unless you give "run as administrator" access to everything with .exe extension.
7. When that is done, you are good to go, if any problem appear, contact me on this thread or with message.


NOTE: If there is similar thread, or on same topic, I would like this one to replace it. As I mentioned above I see so many people being dropped out by size limit, so I guess that old thread is not well made.

I don't mean to thread hijack but I wanted to ask if you know or anyone know even one officially "english" map out there? (aside from the one I've mentioned below) I'm not talking about Naruto Castle Defense 6.8 ENG or other maps released then are just translated by fans... but an English Map such as Gaia's Retaliation ORPG (are officially planned to use the bypass) http://www.hiveworkshop.com/threads/ann ... es.287784/

I see so much non-english 8MB+ maps... and I think I'm not alone having trouble finding Maps offically released in english by their authors which use the 8MB+ bypass.

All right, lets see... First, it depends on the mode of the map. What I mean is, for example most orpg/rpgs are maded by Koreans, than simple translated to English. Yes, there are maps that are officially English ones, but that depends of creator foreign of specific map. You have to find it for yourself, and if u ask me about where, googling name of the map, or simple typing something like "warcraft 3 orpgs" and opening given links is your best bet. About if I know official English maps, DotA is one. I provided guide so you don't have problem with 8mb+ maps, so its up to you to find map on English, or try to use map optimizer to translate it, or something like that. If u don't know any, you can get them at hive. Have a good day.

The # of chinese maps over 8MB vs that of official english ones is rly a big gap.

If Korean maps are easily available like those on uuu9, but they're not, so I didn't compare.

Ok, lets see:

1.Uninstall your game.
2. Take some good registry cleaning tool, and make sure it cleans all leftover keys (or you can use reavo uninstall pro, which will do that while uninstalling).
3. Delete temp folder (open windows menu and type %temp%, enter, select it and delete).
4. Restart pc.
5. Install war3 again.
6. Install latest patch.
7. Install eurobattlenet (if u don't have original bought).
8. Copy files again, do not rename them, especially not into .dll.
9. Before launching warcraft, find everything that has .ext extension, click properties, compatibility, change settings for all users, run as admin.
10. (right clicking "run as administrator" never work) u have to do step 9 for everything u want to be run as admin.
11. When you launch war3, you have to hear 3 beeps, if u do its fine, if u don't it might still work.
12. To finally check it, find a map bigger than 8mbs and try to play it first in local arena network, than on battlenet. It should work for both.


And.... if nothing helps, I will upload my w3 directory and u can download entire, and try with it.

The 8mb map I used was the latest twrpg v0.03j map.Tbh Im not really sure if using ur w3 directory works but at this point Im willing to try anything available at this point

Thank you very much it works!, there is kind of a problem , is there a way to reverse the eurobattle.reg, because I do have the legit copy of the game and I can't go to the normal servers like west and east server.

Uh... I never did that, but, you should either:

1. Delete everything connected with eurobattlenet (when u install it, it set different path than war3, but I installed mine directly into war3 directory).

2. Rerun installation. Now because files are not registrated and u didn't installed them yourself, windows will not give u uninstall option when u run setup. So u install it again, it will overwrite old files, and than run installer again and find uninstall. That should do it.

3. You could simple try tool for erasing registry files, but I doubt it will work that way, because windows don't use .reg files only for its detection, its a bit more complicated process happening when u installing something, so I suggest step 1 or 2.

*Also if u already did run in and try to connected to eurobattlenet, I suggest you change your ip, and if needed make new battlenet account(I know you cant use battlenet acc to log in to eurobattlenet, but just in case it adds it to ban list - I mean ip.)

* When they ban ips, they either ban single, or from some range (example: from 0.0.0.0:00000 to 255.255.255.255:250000). Also check your legit key, cuz if you bought it not from blizzard, but from other online site, or some store in physical form, it might be shared to others, and therefore banned. If that happens I can provide you with key switcher, that will allow you to switch name and key without reinstalling war3.
