banning map hackers

Postby bane » Tue Jun 25, 2013 12:39 pm

just a question id like to throw out there. what is the point in banning map hackers these days. as far as I can see the map hackers who are caught will just change ip and continue abusing. what good does it really do submitting the ban on a map hacker. how can we completely stop it. i ponder on this...

Changing IP and creating a new account takes a bit of time, not much but it's still an annoyance. Plus, when they're banned, they have to start all over in terms of stats and "/f a", etc.

For the same reason police continue to arrest criminals. Some of the criminals return to crime afterwards, or break out of prison, but that doesn't mean we just let them run around and do whatever we want just because we can't catch them all/stop them from repeating the crime (unless we kill them all, but unfortunately we don't do that :/)

It's a shame Blizzard stopped updating War3. Might as well hoped for some kind of anti-hacking system be implemented.
