Hey all.

It drives me nuts when I sign into WC3 and I can't join the clan channel.

I understand that spam bots are a problem.

Back in the day the leading dota channels would auto kick people who weren't safelisted.

I think a safelist is a much nicer way to deal with the problem than just shutting down the channel.

I feel lost on there without it.

I literally don't know where to be.

There is no way to prevent 1000 spambots from spamming the channel. Even with 10 channel operators (using shaman glitch), they can only ban about one per three seconds, yet the spam bots can join much more quickly. And apparently there is a limit to the number of users that can be banned from a channel at any given time.

So we just close the channel. You should be able to continue using commands via whisper to Clan.Enterprise, so it's not even a big deal.

The perfect solution to this, is become a member of our clan :P

Actually I encountered with another problem, I took a look at the clan responsible for these flooding bots and next second I was getting spammed with bots whisping me with no end in sight. It stopped only after a few hours, since I disconnected, not much can be done since even if they were reported they would just make new user names.....
