Wc3 Replays

How do you change Wc3 Replays to Mp4 etc, Want to make a dota movie but I am unable to put the Wc3 file into a editing software.

From what i recall, you cant convert a replay to video format file.

Use a video recording and editing software?

nabo. is right. its not possible to convert the replays, but u can use monitor-recording-programs. install it, start it, start wc3 replay and record it :)

You cannot convert .w3g files to mp4. It would be like trying to transform a book into a phone. If you want to create a DotA movie you're going to have to use some capture software and perhaps even hardware. If you're going to rely on capture software you'll need to have quite a bit of RAM and CPU horse power to run smoothly. With hardware, you eliminate a lot of the workload on the CPU and RAM but you sacrifice convenience.
