Hello ENT staff,

I posted a ban request on 2 guys that were very racist to me in a legion TD game and i didn't say anything bad in return hoping I would find justice by coming here for help. I didn't have any doubts that those 2 racist guys would get banned but i was shocked when i found out that an admin found it normal and maybe funny to say those things to me just like what flamers thought of it. This isn't a request for a review of that ban request or a complaint against the admin, i'd just like to know what other moderators think of it and i'm done here.

I've seen other people get banned for a lot less flaming but i guess my case is different for some reason just because i said 1 comment to the flamer which is (11:16 / Allied) Mohammad: I'll take a ban just so you lose. I feel like i shouldn't even bother reporting people who flame me every game because if this wasn't excessive, it never is.

I even explained to him that some kids could really get hurt by those comments and do something bad to themselves.

Hyo, " Adding a note on both users for flaming/racism (for future reports) - While not excessive, those type of comments are certainly not appreciated (!ignore would have caused a player to ignore his 2 team mates, which in the end could have lead to refusal to cooperate/teamsend, even if i can understand)

I know some of you might feel inclined to have same opinion as other moderators to avoid conflicts but say what you think is right as i'm not asking for anything here, just your opinion.

Asking moderators for their opinions in this case wont help you much as they are bound to the ENT's staff handbook in handling such situations.
The management has discussed flaming issues both publicly and privately and the end result is always the same.

They might think differently personally but that doesn't matter for the outcome of your case as that's based on ENT's policies.

I'm not asking for moderators opinions to help my ban request case as i have already forgotten about that and I don't want those 2 guys to be banned anymore but i know that members are advised to repost if they want their cases to be reviewed by other moderators to see if they have other opinions or the other moderators didn't follow ENT's staff handbook in handling. This is exactly why i'm asking for other moderators opinions.

Well you could have either A) Pm'ed the actual moderators who reviewed it (asking/clarifying the situation if needed) or B ) re-post the ban request, linking the first one, requesting a 2nd moderator's opinion.

However, since i did re-watch it as you suggested (last night on chat), i'll leave you with my opinion:

What they did isn't excessive to justify a ban this time tbh (If it was unnecessary/offensive? Yes, but excessive or worth banning this time? No) - Reason why i decided to leave a warning for future reports in case it happens (Meaning next time they are reported, moderators will know they have been reported in the past for that type of behaviour, and will take that in consideration, while processing).

However and as i stated last night, this comment was also unnecessary "(11:16 / Allied) Mohammad: I'll take a ban just so you lose" -> This might give the wrong image of yourself to your team: I certainly woulnd't like to be playing with someone who tells me that he doens't mind getting banned as long as i lose; Would you like having someone who writes that? ^^ but i dind't take that as a note, since that doens't justify what they wrote.

Feel free to ask (or PM me if you have any doubts).

I can get arrested for saying this stuff in the UK to someone else. If they also live in the UK and I said this they could legitimately contact the police and I would be charged with a hate crime. I know this doesn't apply in some other country's such as America but I just thought I'd leave this here as a note.
