pretty sure this isn't possible. however, leveling spirit bear 3 + 4 its first attack will always proc a entangle =)

@burnt syllabears bear companion. Every time I have seen, when you skill the third and fourth levels and the bear "poofs", the very first attack it makes after that will be an entangle. entangle is pretty op so i'd thought id mention it as the only "guaranteed" bash i've come across.
