Example as such is that fog click prevention is a thing for maphack tools.
Here is a good short from Pirate Software that explains maphack within 60 seconds.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/HgP_Lkr6wNE
Warcraft is a very old game and there is no protections in place that prevent a tool from getting the information required for a maphack and no active development to patch out these vulnerabilities (at least on ENT Gaming). In the same way they can manipulate the client so you can see units in fog of war, they can also manipulate the client to prevent fog of war clicks.
Done reading the unnecessary comments, will lock this topic if they continue.
Halo_Mauler finally does his job and makes a good ban! Congrats to the Moderator of the Day!

Says in the post fog click (isdettectable) this is everything you sent right?Spoiler!Spoiler!
This was already in the explanation post of EdteOfChaos2 as screenshots.
halo_mauler we dont know each other, i was mod here on ent for dota until around 10 years ago and i also banned people for maphack and other stuff.
With the explations in this thread and a short little research by myself to verify the information, among other things. It was easy to understand the changes after i stopped playing back then, regarding maphack.
I dont have anything against you, but in this thread to me you made youself look incompetent and to be honest you would have been better off if you had ignored the thread and not posted anything.

Yes, fair. I was being unnecessarily rude in my posts and I apologize for that.

Thank you for posting this - this is the only thing that I have been trying to explain for weeks. I really hope that this explanation from you makes more sense than the one I posted.
I would just like to point out, though, that the DotA community talked very reasonably with halo_mauler. It was only after halo_mauler repeatedly demeaned and condescended us that we started being rude back.
If you had approached this by having a conversation with us rather than trying to tell us why we are all ignorant about the game that we have spent literally thousands of hours playing, then things would have went different.
To be honest, it's ridiculous for you to speak to us like this and then not expect to get spoken back to just as disrespectfully.
i understand dota perfectly
followed by:
and am rusty from not playing for 9 years
i did confuse skills of heros i haven't played in 10 years yes
and then
but it doesnt take rocket science to watch in a replay maybe go 1/2 speed you will see
maybe you dont know all the hiding places yet
please watch before you submit
watch these replay before you submit this stuff please
And by the way you can totally see him hide in the trees if you watch the replay
(he was indeed incorrect about all the above)

Yes, I do have to apologize for the harsh comments. Totally unnecessary.
But it really does stem from Halo calling everyone else wrong and insisting on it for many reasons despite everyone in the forums saying he was making the wrong decision or analysis.

I don't understand they still use mh to boost their elo with an old dead game for making look good. I don't want to say some one name but it's weird when he picked sb can charge through the fog without any wards. However, if they want to pay $5 a month for MH system with a dead game go head.

I do not believe anyone was ever banned on 1 timestamp, nor would anyone ask for a ban on 1 timestamp.
If I recall correctly, that original thread on Songoku had one timestamp, and then multiple new timestamps and review of other games added by Frank. In fact, the review process was so rigorous that another thread at the same time with 4-5 timestamps on Songoku was rejected but noted as highly suspicious. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=146209&p=561297&hilit=songoku+mh#p561297
I have no idea where this myth of "one timestamp" comes from. If you count my thread in addition with 3 timestamps, this is well over 10 timestamps in about 4 different games on just a single individual player.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be abrasive, just correct the record...it was in no way accurate that a single time stamp was all that was behind the songoku claims.
I don't view these posts as some kind of competition. These discussions about maphack, bans/rules, etc. should be about getting to the truth and making the community better.

Respect for admitting you were wrong, seems it just took Unitil repeating what we said.
There have been cases where someone was banned with 1 timestamp when that person dusted an invisible hero with no prior knowledge of them being there, or hooked a hero in the fog with no prior knowledge. But I also know that this isn't what happened with SonGoku. Super rare since people know not to do it, happened in early 2012 days of ENT. Don't really feel like digging through 1700 pages of ban requests so you can believe me or not. Doesn't change this case either way.
You are correct that one suspicious event isn't enough to ban for maphack.
