Hi mods,
I was just curious if there was anyway to tweak some of the standard game settings. For example, the current ap and ar games are easy mode.
Is it possible to occasionally offer games that are not easy mode, that are mandatory vote-balanced, that have minimum elo ratings?
I think it would really cool to offer more challenging games to the community, there would be less stacked games, more balanced, less item dependent.
Thanks, Z

You can use !votemode [mode] to change the current existing mode in-lobby. That also includes getting rid of em if the vote is successful.

It's getting longer and longer to fill games, so not likely such things will pass. People are used to playing em games. Though I would love to see SC games again.

Re: Make Changes to standard ENT bot games?
I completely understand there are !votemodes, however, these commands are not well known, but even more importantly, they require the vast majority to vote.
Would it be possible to lower the threshold for a vote to pass?
For example, to votekick someone in the game, 9 out of the 10 players must vote yes. Could we lower that to 7? By making it such a large majority for any type of vote it is highly unlikely to pass anything.

Supercreep! When I play AI, I always get SC mode. I remember there use to be a giant squirtle supercreep before, but haven't seen it in the AI.

hopefully this helps

above you will see a game with 2 legit game ruiners (on both sides)
you can see this well because they share the same ip, which means they are in the same LOCATION.
everyone voted except the game ruiner, his friend, and 1 moron who "claims" he did not know what rules were being broken.
Easy win for scourge team 15 elo.
if this is not obvious screw over for innocent pubs, then im not sure what more proof u need.
Ent now decides to fix this and lower votebalance, or continue to allow more games being ruined.
my 2 cents.

Re: Make Changes to standard ENT bot games?
Jabba, there are several reasons why this would lower the chances for game ruining.
Lower elo players create a pooling effect.
Say there is a 500 elo player on one team. Generally higher players will either avoid this player by joining the other team, or leaving. As the other team fills up, the only players that will not join and leave or players who are terrible themselves, or are new to the game.
Eventually you have a team of 500-700 elo players without any players that have any skill. Now, if these players were divided across both teams, they actually play better. This is a fact, terrible players feed off of each other and play worse and become more and more uncooperative with each other.
Really, you only needed 2 decent players and the game will go considerably better for them.
It is also known as the death spiral.
Most votebalances usually are only 2 votes short. If 4-5 players vote for a balance it should become balanced.
Plus I have personally seen examples of games were we were pretty sure a player on the opposite team was throwing the game for one player.
There are NUMEROUS things that need to be changed.

how many threads and posts are needed for a trial period with a lower votebalance threshold?
