Stacked Teams

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if there was a way in which all teams were randomly generated so that teams couldnt be stacked. I know people like to help one another but when certain people go and public stomp i dont think its fair. Could the bots possibly generate evens teams based on ELO stats?

Thanks Gryphon

No, unfortunately. As far as I know, arranging the players based on ELO would screw up the stats system.

Only problem is that some people have friends and want to play together. There might be a "solo queue" set of games, we're thining about it.

You could create an apsp bot where players know that the game will be shuffled.

And also, this would not affect elo in anyway. Itd actually make games even which is 16 for a win 16 for a loss.

If you dont care about stats then just host your own game and make it even.

Right, my mistake. I was thinking of the switch command.

sp doesn't consider ELO; better to automatically balance ELO if there's a solo queue.

true but randomly generated teams using -sp are usually still more even than a typical game.

Why can't you just go "try hard" mode and eat their elo away.
Everyone loves the feeling of winning against a stacked team.
Actually mostly me, because if you go against the best you actually learn how to maintain playing as a better player. IF you go against players that are your skill level or below .. Man that brings down your game and everything, that is how you become a bad player.
Just my opinion.

when someone joins a game, thier elo automatically comes up.

Right away you know what kind of player he is by his stats.

I have seen several people switch sides just because one side has 1400 elo.

I suggest removing elo showing up when entering a lobby.

If people want to stack teams make them work for it using the !SD command or checking the stats on the website.

doing this would generate more website traffic and the website would do better.

Don't get me wrong i love stomping the pubstompers.
But usually when teams are stacked against you get one or two bad players.
It's really hard to win against a team like that.
Your play can be perfect, but you can still lose just because of bad teammates.
This the most frustrating thing knowing you did your best and you still lose.

My Stack Stack Stack owns any Stack Just look at Mountainfail and Comp as in Computers because those friends were easy like ais. Simple easy sht. an invoker fail Np. MountainGod is here to pwn and clean the competition of the fakers and elo boosters. And Immi get off the mh. You lost to me 7 times now just give up

I MEAN ADVFAIL LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Same Shit dont worry once my stack is ready to move to Dota2, we're going to make a big splash just like cash bgn and ent.
Teaching the Nubs where they belong. <3 the MountainGod Pray for skills and i may bless you <3

Crispz: Well hopefully "if" I can run a "successful" tournament that will not be encountering any problems, I would LOVE to see you play. Since you're so good with that cocky attitude, but who's to blame. AND actually... IF you're so good, make your own class of "teaching the noobs" on how to become a better player.

Yeah this is another version of DotaCash, except no admin abuse bans.
Pretty sad.
