Proposed Modification to DOTA k/d

Hello there! I play dota and battleships, and noticed a difference in the stat-recording of ENT. Specifically this:

In Battleships Pro, a player can capsize (suicide) his ship, and while it counts as a death on the in-game board, it does not contribute to kills for the other team, nor does it count as a death on the player's overall k/d as saved by the ENT bot.

In Dota, a player can suicide (techies, pudge, bloodstone, etc) his character, and while it counts as a death on the in-game board, it does not contribute to kills for the other team, BUT IT DOES count as a death on the player's overall k/d as saved by the ENT bot.

The stat system used in Battleships Pro seems to more accurately reflect the player's work thus far.

Thus my question: would it be difficult to modify the stat-recording methods of Dota to not include suicide deaths from various methods as player deaths for their overall stats?

Alternatively, if you think this is a generally terrible idea - lemme know why!

I dont know how kd matters in battleship...does it require certain amount of kills for a game over?

In dota, kd are simply stats. I assure u...kd is only one portion of dota. U dont need kills to own;u do not need kills to win the game.

I dont see the problem of suicide counting part of ur recorded stats. Its simple. U suicide...u died...its a death.

Since u killed urself, enemy team should not be able to receive any assist...
U killed urself out of ur own will...techies suicides for the massive aoe dmg or to prevent enemy from killing him....same case for bloodstone and pudge. U die because u chose to. Therefore, ur death is of ur own will, so it will b recorded as ur death...

I dont get why suicide is not an accurate measure of ur kd...
Kd is simply ur ur avg kill n death. Stop thinking tat good kd means skill. Kda and cs will mainly defer greatly due to hero role within the team and type of hero u play...not ur skill.

you died and you still lose everything that you do when you died (gold, time), and nobody on the other team gets a kill (the kills when added up for the 5 players on the other team won't add up to the total kills, since that suicide doesnt actually go as a kill to anyone). so its just a death not a kill, still accurate.
