Heya there,
Dind't knew where to post this since it's regarding DotA rules, but wanted to ask: When your team is fountain farming, or attempts to fountain farming, instead of ending game, is it ok to force them into the fountain and kill them?
Will explain it shortly: I hate fountain farming, and hate those that do it, so usually when im about to win and i see my allies doing it, i have a certain tendency to buy force staff ( ) and simply force them into the fountain and have them killed; I find it simply stupid to build up stats that way, so my fastest way to stop them, and ending the game after is that.
Is this ok to be done, is it bannable?
Thanks in advance

Re: Question about DotA Rules
Thanks for the answer, but my doubt in this one is this:
Most of the times, specially in em pubs ... People have a certain tendency when they are winning, to enter the enemy base and simply start fountain farming instead of trying to end ... I try to end by attacking towers / throne after or simply try to do megacreeps first to guarantee a victory ... my allies tend to go at fountain waiting for them to come out or simply hook as it happens sometimes ...
My biggest doubt in here is: Despite the game being almost over or not ... When people go try to fountain farm (even if its allowed now), is it bannable if you simply forcestaff them to make them stop? cuz usually the situation goes like this:
Ur playing a 5vs5 game, you happen to win a teamfight or so, you push and destroy mid/top/bot base tower, and the usual would be either destroy other lanes for megacreeps or simply push to throne and end ... yet ur team decides to fountain farm and u find urself pushing alone while they "pump" their stats by doing that ... When that happens, i usually force them into the fountain, making them die and ofc making everyone stop ... Also get raged back for not letting them farm kills against hopeless enemies :S
So when they fountain camp, can you force-staff them or not? Usually the "stop fountain camp / farm" talk doens't work, since they keep doing it , therefore why the forcestaff =P

Re: Question about DotA Rules
It's perfectly acceptable to force or toss allies into enemy fountain.

@Hyorinmaru. @edgeofchaos
Now that fountain farming is allowed, you should not be tossing and force staffing people into fountain (this act now falls under malicious skill usage on teammate).
If fountainfarming becomes excessive, the other team should give up and !ff. Logically, the other team should be able to fight back at their own fountain+base. If they cant, it simply means they have fed too much or there is little to no chance of comeback. Those who do not !ff will be banned instead. It is faster for a game to finish through forfeit than killing the base after raxes.

Re: Question about DotA Rules
Why? Fountain farm has always been allowed for 1-3 minutes, and it's always been fine to do it in those circumstances. If this rule was changed, why was there no staff discussion or notification about this? @nabo.

Re: Question about DotA Rules
It was changed when we allowed fountain farm: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=37094
If u feel otherwise, open a discussion internally and we can decide wat is more reasonable.

Re: Question about DotA Rules
Then, My main concern is why this wasn't included in the staff discussion about this rule. Banning people for staffing people into enemy fountain is absurd.
My assumption is that when we discuss "Should x rule be changed" and we agree yes, that only that rule will be changed, and not something different...
@Hyorinmaru. I guess it's disallowed now...

Re: Question about DotA Rules
Well, the fountain farming is a part of a strategy you are not allowing to your adverssary getting stronger or smth like that. And im getting sick of all that shit. People always got the right to forfeit it, or they can jsut go through trees and solve the problem, arent they?

i'd like to see u hiding in trees to avoid my sniper, my invoker or leoric-spectre lmfao. there are some heroes with extreme skill at fountainfarming still, prolonging a game to fountainfarm is stupid, i will fountainfarm in rare cases, mostly when opponnent team talks too much shit so a lesson is needed...

I talked to agreements about this and he says it is ok to kill people who fountain farm. He even does it and I believe uakf.b will be fine with this too. I see it is ok to toss people while fountain farming.

Re: Question about DotA Rules
Yes, we have discussed internally and concluded that it is fine to do so.
Re: Question about DotA Rules
So ... let me get it straight to avoid misunderstoods ... Fountain farm is allowed since the rules change ... and force staff / toss on allies, to prevent them from fountain farming is also allowed? or?
