0089 Changelog:
  • Changed to 0089 in map description.
  • Changed to 0089 in top-right corner description.
  • Fixed grammar on some tooltips (thanks murk-twayne).
  • Fixed Bound Summoning messing up summoning Balthasar (thanks Stealer).
  • Fixed AR messing up when playing a game that wasn't the first instance (thanks Stealer).
  • Fixed Nature's hunter tooltip spelling mistakes (thanks Nigth2).
  • Fixed Radioactive's module tooltip spelling mistakes (thanks Nigth2).
  • Swapped Merchant and ARC tiers around.
  • Stone Throwers, Headhunters, Spearlocs, and Trackers upgrades now require a Merchant.

TODO:
  • Look into new researches using the new tier system.
  • Look into cleaning up objects.
  • Finalize alpha release, move to public beta.

Idea: I'm bored of having to use different hotkeys for building with builders like: tauren, nature and draenei. they all have different hotkeys, and lead to misclicks...
I'd reccomend making universal hotkeys maybe...

For building? They are all universal. At least, they should be. What things aren't?

IDK. I have spanish version. I still have to use different hotkeys for each one of them. but that shouldn't happen...
Edit: Ah, and by that I mean the button that you use to access the buildings menu...it's something like: Build structure, Create building, and Create Building, or something like that. you may leave the same nasmes but change hotkey. And if you changed it... then maybe its just me.

And an third edit... check some very minor misspells on nature's hunter description, and radioactive's modules description. they are very stupid, but we want this map to be perfect, no? :)

iirc we changed some of the hotkeys (charGe) because of the germans.

0089 released! Yay.

I'm thinking either this or 0090 will be the last private alpha version. From then we'll go public beta with new / updated races and terrain being added!

but when you look on techs that you must research to build towers, they are named

also, description of nature builder still have "this builder can construct armies with little gold and can construct base with huge gold", since times when he needed merchant to build base

range hits are a feature.

I feel like it would be possible to detect an onAttack or something and compute if the targets are too close for their given attack ranges but it sounds not fun.

Range hits are an actual gameplay component from the original game (Warcraft III). I've tweaked the buffer range (how far you can move before the attack fails) and reduced it to make it slightly better.

Too much and it just doesn't play right in the engine...

Such builders will be completely removed from the map (as part of a big clean up for the beta) and readded and balanced during the beta phase. This alpha was mostly just to make sure that the base map code was working as intended as it has been rewritten.

Checked Builder Dryad.

Here so far: (Migth find more)

Bugs:

-Island Bloom in item form does not yield any aura. Also it sells for 22 gold.

To-Fix/Ideas:

-When you upgrade Feral Tower with mana shows no SFX unlike wood upgrade. Intended?
Edit 1: Wall is named Thorn wall in builder menu, and its called Fungovor when placed.

Balancing:

-Look into gold tower balancing. So far its like this: Spell Well > Magic Mushroom >>> Island Bloom.
Why:
-Spell well has a 70 alpha. Magic Mushroom has (second edit) 47.5 alpha. Island Bloom has 22.5 alpha (less than a stage 6 feral tower)
-Spell well has 300 mana. Magic Mushroom has 50. Island Bloom has 150.
-Guess: Island Bloom has some 3 Nuke-able seeds that have 75hp and 10 alpha. Migth be useful for blocking but buying this tower would be a waste against pro titans.
*Wood cost doesn't make a real difference to me.

Note: When I refer to 'alpha' (aka base DPS) damage is the total damage that will hit the attacked unit, with no armor points reduction, but yes with armor type reduction. Example: Lets do Island Bloom alpha. 90 pierce base damage. hero attacks take half from pierce. now its 45. attack speed is every 2 seconds. now it's 22,5. (Magic Mushroom has 30 alpha + it's skill DPS that is (second edit: Heroes also takes 70% from spells in general) = 47.5).

PS: :) Sorry for over-explaining. just want to everyone to know what i'm talking about.

Here so far: (Might find more)

Bugs:

-The Greater Turtle. Tooltip doesn't mention it has more hp, and the biggest issue: Has 6 same inventory slots, unlike said in tooltip. I dont think its possible to make a turtle have more than 6 inventory slots. Maybe it would be factible making normal turtle have 4 or less slots... Because... seriously, no one would waste an egg in a Greater Turtle, since its utility is marked by its inventory slots... I'd reccomend removing that spunky skill and giving the turtle Magic Inmunity, and leave it 300hp and with 6 inventory slots, and maybe more speedy (IDK if it's possible). At least for me, I would consider this an useful item that has good improvements and not just stats upgrade.

If you want to leave it as it, the skill also says that it'll give the turt 200hp but actually gives 100hp.

Ideas:

-Why wand of the wind costs gold? i dont find the item so overpowered to it to cost 10 gold.

-I see there's 2 extra slots for Aerox and rcxquake and 1 extra slot on Yacapo and Dildamesh.

Something like new items? and another recipe?

I have 2 recipes ideas:

Mystic Shadowstone: (Overall an upgraded shadowstone, name can be changed) [Would use icon of an item called 'Soul']
Increases user's attack speed by 15% (maybe also buffs movespeed by a little)
Components: 2 Shadowstones, 1 Titan Egg.

Or

Healer/Replenisher: (zzz i dont find a good name) [Also icon]
Heals user for xxx hitpoints when used, has infinite charges, xx cooldown, (maybe dispell all buffs)
Components: Replenishment Potion, 1-2 Titan Eggs.

(EXTRA) Ideas:

Update those old tooltips for builder selection. Now with somewhat 7 seconds I doubt you read more than 1 of them.
I'd reccomend doing something like this:

Tauren:

-Builder is a hero
-Can gather EXP golding and from attacks done to Titan
-Towers are 4 times stronger and bigger
-Walls have extra armor but are weak late-game
-Can convert into a Titan Hunter with much gold
-Overall strongest class and is good support

So the reader can read faster what he wants to read.
