ENT Gaming

To start off I'll have you know when I was a kid I played the wc3 single player, and only single player, for 2 years like it was all I had to do. It wasnt for 5 years after wc3 came out that I finally got internet and discovered multi-player gaming. Before that I would fool around with map editors and make my own maps to pass time. I got surprisingly good at it learning about all you can through trial and error. I discovered this community in an odd way. I was auto-banned for erroring out of Legion TD Mega 1v1 match and couldnt play on ent games anymore so I went to the website to appeal (the first time I've ever done that) and caved -in to making an account. Now I find I quite like it and will continue to try to contribute to the community as a whole. I mostly dont expect anyone to read this but if you have any questions not to personal I'd be glad to answer them.


Other games I have/ Have played: Starcraft, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, WoW (Too Much but I'm quit now), Fallout 3 / New vegas, Bioshock, Warhammer Anything specifically Dawn of War, and many others.

Not dead. I'll always love WC3 it was a huge part of my childhood. It's where I met all my gaming friends. What makes it dead? People still playing it. Alot of people. Maybe not as much as in the glory days but still, its enough to satisfy me.

You are totally right. Wc3 is still alive and kickin'. What matters is whether you have fun - it is an entertainment after all.

Well what makes it dead is you'll have a lot of trouble finding a 4v4, 2v2 and FFA ladder game on all battle.net servers. Most of the player base has already transitioned into other games such as DotA 2, Starcraft II, etc. ENT is the biggest WC3 community yet a large proportion ENT bots have less than 10 games per week.

Sure you can argue that some maps in this game are still very popular and played, but you have to remember that this amount is achieved through the bridging of multiple servers and pvpgns. Furthermore, the maps that are still played are existing maps that have grown on the existing player base. You cannot introduce a new map into the game and expect it to be popular because the player base just isn't big enough.
