You are right, it's not your job to calm the situation down, and you are also allowed to show some emotion. But we did look at, as was requested by the OP, to see if there were factors contributing to the ragequit which should not be there (in no way making the ragequit or failsends okay, we banned him extensively for that). There we saw you escalating things, especially with the !votekick. Just by the way that not one person wanted to partake in that votekick, should show you that it was not okay, and it was very much a step too far in chasing down the person.

With that you showed you wanted him out by force, and did not want to solve this in a way where moderators judge the situation, but you taking matters in your own hand. It was also a move that unnecessarily escalated the situation even further to someone who was already clearly in distress, no matter if it passed, and we judged it that it was escalating it too much. As I said, any other player without history would probably get 2 days for the votekick + warning for escalation, but in your case 4 days is in my eyes the right decision.
