PM one of the mods and he will be added to the watch list. Minor incident repeat offenders will be unvouched.
Re: Suggestion: forget about the drawing!
But if he left 1-20 because he had to go feed the dog, do we draw
?

Re: Suggestion: forget about the drawing!
@ Frubolg - we are getting to that case soon... as you can see, we are backlogged. We will be handling that case separately from this thread. Thank you for bringing up your concerns.
@Mick
I am at a loss as to what to say. I'm trying my best to be impartial but in response to things like this
You are suggesting that people might smurf and help elo boost in LIHL? I find this preposterous and we are not going to change the ruling based the the very far fetched idea that LIHL can be rigged with a DC. Yes. WE WILL TAKE THIS CHANCE!
The whole idea of a !draw is because this is a game. We created the LIHL in order to have fair an honest game play. Fair is to !draw when someone legitimately DCs. Fair is to have the DC player lose ELO. Honest is something that we handle on a case by case manner.
I'm sorry if you feel that your arguments are in vain but we are not changing the draw system at this time. Thank you for your input, I find all of your points valid. I admit that it can be taken advantage of but weighing the pros and cons I feel that !drawing the game and punishing a DC player with an ELO loss is still the most fair way to go about this. Thank you again for your time in this.

Again, not saying this is happening, but you rule out the chance of this happening if you don't draw.

Re: Suggestion: forget about the drawing!
@iight
I am not suggesting a smurf at all? Let me take you and beep as an example (again not to point fingers). Imagine you are losing vs a team (probably with me and duckie in (Joke) ). You /w beep you pull the plug this time so I can draw and do not get a loss, I will do it next time. In this case, beep is getting a disc (and in the current system not even a loss), while you lose nothing. 20 games later, same teams, same game progress. This time you pull the plug (in the current system not losing elo) and beep losing nothing. In those two games you saved each other a loss and (about) 15 elo. Once more, not about if it's happening, but to show this is not strategy-proof.
You are calling this 'very far fetched': I call this a viable strategy in the current system.
The idea of drawing because this is a game seems strange to me. If it is only a game, why not play on? People have invested anywhere from 5-50 minutes in this game. Just play on if this is only a game.
But alright, I will put in a complaint then, because I feel a wrong choice is made for the wrong reasons.

Re: Suggestion: forget about the drawing!
I think that we have differing views on what is "cheating" and "viable strategy".
You view that /w players in game to coordinate DC's is a "strategy". I view it as "ghosting" and that behavior would result in a ban from all ENT games. Not saying that it is likely to happen. But if it were, it would be punished swiftly and harshly.
I guess that what I am trying to say is that any manipulation of the ELO system will result in unvouching and possible bans. If people would like to gamble with that, they are free to cheat. They will get caught. Rest assured. And then they will be gone.

Re: Suggestion: forget about the drawing!
With strategy-proof I actually mean that you cannot make a strategy based upon that property. So with regards to disconnecting, it is possible to make a strategy in which you can benefit from disconnecting in your system. In my system there is not. Of course, we both do not want this strategy, but is mine is waterproof to that strategy, yours is not. Especially since intentional plugging is so hard to prove the fact that my solution has the strategy-proof property is worth a lot.
I have summed up my version of what has happened at the complaint session. Perhaps it is based on a misunderstanding (like for example, that you thought that I think not-strategy-proof was good) and I would want you to reply then. If it is not, you can see the way I view this discussion and perhaps understand better what I mean.

Re: Suggestion: forget about the drawing!
Well I just got banned 2 days for not drawing that game. What a complete joke.

Re: Suggestion: forget about the drawing!
If you don't want to refer to my suggestions, the only suggestable thing for all players is let the opposing team decide if they want to draw or not. No more bitching and complaining. We are trying to have fun playing with good/pro LTD players (at least I am) not accuse anyone of cheating and seriously..........WHO CARES ABOUT ELO?!?!?! Fk...I swear all you babies cry about ELO too much.
And don't say you don't because most of this topic pertains to ELO.
Draw? that means we lose the ELO we were supposed to win. Intentional PP? That means he doesn't lose his ELO. blah blah blah.....Q_Q

Re: Suggestion: forget about the drawing!
People care about elo. Thats why Eldryan posted about me "stealing" elo and why I got banned. Anyone who cared to watch the replay would see that they were dead within 2 mins
When I come back I will draw anyone, if they need a shover or reach for plug

Re: Suggestion: forget about the drawing!
Simple solution to everyone's problems regarding this thread. Implement a -15 ELO loss for anyone who d/c during game. Problem fixed! iight if u could be so kind as to start a vote regarding any player d/c during game taking a -15 ELO loss would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
P.S. Drawing when someone d/c should and always be a rule in all LIHL games imo.

@Murkemhanks
We are drafting an ELO policy currently for DC players. There is no need for a public vote imo, it is already unanimous among the Mods and much needed. Expect to see ELO loss for any player who DC's regardless of if the game is !draw very soon.
Thanks for the input

Re: Suggestion: forget about the drawing!
@furbolg
you can keep playing without ELO. !draw and keep going 20 if you dont care, as THAT IS THE PRESUPPOSITION FOR PLAYING to !draw....
stupid to not draw just to take ELO, and unfairly boost in 3v2...
@mickey
If someone made that sort of agreement, it'd be obvious they only leave while on each other's teams. and while no game would ever finish, if everyone had this agreement with everyone, the ELO drop would be the exact same just scaled to 1/8 affect.
