Mick retirement

Postby Diablo_ » Sat Dec 03, 2016 2:15 pm

Hi.

Mick (Dweiler) sadly decided to step down from his LIHL mod position.
I want to thank him at this point for his work in the community and hope we won't lose him as LIHL player any time soon.

However, since Nore is missing for some time already (I don't have any information for the reason) and now Mick leaving it is more or less only me left to deal with the mod stuff. The problem is that I'm currently also lacking both time and motivation for this work so (a) new LIHL moderator(s) would be greatly appreciated.
If you are interested you can either straight up apply for it (viewforum.php?f=21) or if you have any questions or doubts about anything you can also write me first if you want.

If no one wants to assist I'll try my best to deal with vouch requests and topics that come up but things will probably be handled slowly.

If u want I can help u from time to time but I am bad at computers. U would have to show me for ex how to watch a replay etc.
Therefore I could deal with vouch requests since I know most of 1200 players anyway and maybe DC pens.

I would not consider it as a full time MOD, just to help U.

I know many pple do not like me and what is more being a MOD is rly not my dream; I just wrote to help U, so U r not alone. So treat this post as a friendly help offer, not any apply of my dreams. :)

Sad to hear, Mick was a very dedicated and due to his unbiased judgments a highly respected moderator. But of course I can understand he wants to step back since it is a very time consuming and not quite a satisfying/thankful job. Thanks a lot for your contribution to LIHL, your absence will create a gap.

Thanks for the nice words, people :) This league is worth a lot to me, I have played here since season 1, been moderator during many seasons and have been at the basis of a lot of things we have in the league. The reason I retired as mod is that I'm not in such a good place at the moment, I am fucking things up everywhere. I have been under a lot stress lately and somehow things and people who do not deserve it suffer from that. That's why I need to take a few steps back and get my life back on track, and resigning as moderator is a step for that. I guess I will be online still to play occasional games, because it is still my hobby as it has been for years.

I hope someone from the league will step up and take the place, because our league only deserves the best :)

It is unfortunate that Mickey left us, I wish him good luck at the least.
