criticising the latest development!

Hello dear LIHL fellows

I'm pretty busy due to my studies and sometimes it happens that I would (yes, I consciously use the subjunctive form here) like to play a LIHL game. But the latest few attempts literally failed due to feckless bot administrators. Just to give you a brief idea of what I'm talking about: At the end of last week I signed for a 3on3 game - everything was fine and only one guy had to sit out. Nontheless madridista decided to abort the game in order to have a 4on4 (pretty hard with 7 ppl!!). Due to this fail we re-started a 3on3 but it turned out to be a 2on3 since the bot admin madridista used force start. In the end we were not even enough to play a 2on2 and so I had to play a pub.
Today I felt recovered from that last issue and signed for a 2on2. All players were present in lobby and waiting for diablo_ to start it. But then he suddenly had to go, without even providing us reason.
These are not just single issues - these things happen every second game and I'm seriously feeling very pissed about it. At start, LIHL used to be a horde of good players, respecting unwritten rules such as staying for a signed game. These principles have obviously faded away and I hope that a higher authority takes the necessary steps to make this again a place of organised pro-gaming.

I am sorry that I just had to leave but 1/3 of my house lost electricity including the kitchen with the fridge and the freezer, so I had to leave to take care of it. That event was obviously out of my control and was obviously more important than a not yet started game. I have simply written "g2g" because I doubt the reason would be of any interest for you at that point and I was in a hurry. Nonetheless I am sorry and hope you can understand the situation.

I did not want arouse the impression that you or madridista's behaviour is the main problem (maybe partly it is). I want to criticise the general attitude of the people having the responsibility to administrate the games. I demand for more sense of responsibility and professionality.

But seriously, you think admins should look through all games if someone has not dodged/used force start, et cetera? I am willing to look into any game you report, but demanding we keep track of this all without the help of the community is really not possible. My suggestion is you just report the game if someone violated a rule instead of expecting the mods to see this with their all-seeing eye.

Anyway, I looked into the game where you said lihldiabloduck used !force start, but in fact Madridista started by accident when only 5 out of 6 players joined, so duck can hardly be blamed for that.

Is this a suggestion or a plea to the public? Currently the #1 factor in vouching players is their manner so I don't think can blame the vouching process.

If this happens to be a suggestion then please be more.specific.

Ok Ive had enough of having my name slandered by people talking bullshit and lies about me. It happens way too often I get blamed for some self concocted far fetched completely ludicrous bullshit. You owe me an apology here Psyclone. I did no such thing as the one you state. Maybe you are too blame for making other people look bad for a self invented transgression? Go watch the video the hunt and grow some respect for other people where you dont accuse them of doing something they didnt.

Sorry was confused with the names. It was Madridista alias Goatsbegone. And just to make myself clear: I do not want to blame him nor diablo_ personally, it was thought as a general critique.

Yet you blamed me personally enough to make a thread about it and use it as the opening statement of what you felt was wrong with the lihl. I do hope that you are better at sticking to facts in your uni work than you are here in the lihl. It is not just you who has blamed me of bullshit lately, so my tolerance has been tested so many times in this regard it is no longer as huge as it used to be. There is a reason I took the name lihldiabloduck in the lihl. Anyhow, apology accepted.

Edit: Anyway, Psyclone, I can understand it is frustrating if those kind of things happens 2x in a row. I agree those things should not happen in or league and therefore you really should report if you feel people are violating a rule instead of trying to forget it and move on. As you see now, that does not work . And in the case of Madridista, I guess the reason he unhosted is the same sense of being a dedicated member of this league as I can see you have. My suspicion is he unhosted so that the player who had to sit out could play as well. And if it were you who had to sit out and they unhosted so you could play I am sure you would be grateful too. His judgment that there would be an 8th player might have been bad, but his intention was good, as far as I know him.

This being said one should not unhost without having the consent of ALL players, so @goatsbegone should not do this without all players agreeing again.
