As suggested by skillerinstinct in this topic, I've created a poll.

The suggestion is simple: give the mode without gg a chance by means of a trial (week)?

Poll will be running for 2 weeks.

not saying this is the way to do that but I would be up for giving it a try
I see more reasons to try it out than not to

I'm all for this, people of course can still vote to play -hpgmcb if they all don't like the new mode.

Although I would probably prefer to change up the mode every week for a wide variety of games, and so it doesn't seem so dull

If there is a different mode every week or day - it might split the league abit, and Theres alot of 2v2 dodgers, which are already contributing to the activity Levels (Players unfit for LIHL anyways imo) - otherwise i dont mind trying No GG modes now and then - it seems atm that alot of people are just too bad at the yolo/overbuild concept.
different Builders than Prophet should also Be played more frequently, i read alot of comments about some people wanting to avoid playing hybrid (which is One of the Best races) . . .. . . That statement to Me, shows how ignorant some vouched Players are.

I find hybrid a waste of time because one of the biggest parts (to me) is calculating and planning builds, which you can't do in hybrid. I can see plusses such as the fact that it requires more thought into new builds as you cannot follow a build order, but strategy is what attracts me to lihl.

I can definitely see positives for no gg mode and I encourage players to experiment with other modes.

Lol imagine if you have to adapt to changing situations, and have to adjust your strategy because things don't go exactly as planned. Wow, then trying to plan ahead and work out a good strategy would be really fun wouldn't it? Instead of having 2 evaluation moments: level 3 and level 10, after which you may as well shut off your brain.

In all seriousness: I know hybrid will take you out of your comfort zone, and if your brain is mentally unable to adapt to changing situations it might be stressful to play hybrid, but in a high-skilled league you might expect people to know towers and to adjust their strategy level by level. Even if hybrid has some flaws as you claim, the thing it will bring along is some creativity and reveal the true face of some noobs in here who can hide by playing 3v3/4v4 and clinging on to standard strategies. And after months of prophet which has MANY MANY flaws, another mode with SOME flaws should not be the end of the world.

Yes but calculating how much you need for next level and when to send as you scouted their towers are both big things in ltd which don't work in hybrid. Holding level 7 is pure luck + value, there's no calculation, no determining who will be strong, etc. Sending strategy in hybrid is also quite mute as its just a huge bunch of random towers - if you close your eyes and send level 7 its guaranteed to be quite effective.

I feel like there are too many assumptions concerning hybrid. I don't think it is so random as is claimed. For example, your level 7 example: if it always will work as you say, people will start to income less, which will lead to easier sends, which leads to holds. Also, I don't think anyone has ever played a hybrid game with big incomers, we can only guess what the effects will be. I do know that on the other side, which is a big disadvantage of prophet, archers/blasters/yggs/aqua do not have such a huge negative impact in that they imbalance the game - so you are far less likely having to overcome a mountain in hybrid, as you quite often have to in prophet games.

Hybrid has many places to adapt, however, the adaptations are very roll dependent and not equal between teams. If hybrid gave players on each team equal rolls it'd be great for 2v2 games, but as is it creates for each team different results with the same strategy - one of which is normally far better - it's not balanced for competitive play. In prophet players can easily mitigate worse rolls by incoming, but spending 200g early on a disciple then another 305g on a dark priest for tanks basically ruins a players game who played an optimal strategy. Opposite scenario for outcast and phantom with legit placement.

I enjoy the suicide incoming, however no gg wouldn't necessarily end it and I vote to try out the mode as it creates a far more challenging income strategy with more effective sending results.

With the poll almost coming to the end of the 2 week duration, currently standing at 13 - 6 (68%) in favour of yes.

Maybe if Lihl mod's elaborate on what number would be a successful vote, then if implemented, would this mode be default or only played if agreed upon?
