New Vouch ELO

I think a lot of people have noticed the difference between 1k ELO LIHL playerm typically, and 1k ELO new vouch by now. To resolve this issue, I think LIHL needs to take some steps towards placing new vouches at a more fair ELO for everyone on their team/other team.

In order to minimize this impact, the simplest system is to set new vouches ELO to 900 initially, and let them situate their ELOs from 900 for the first month. If they gain ELO from that point and show that they are generally ready to play in LIHL they can get a 100 point boost, or if they are winning when they join and are above 1000 after a month they can receive a 70 point boost.

This idea was brought up before, and narrowly missed being implemented.

Why you post this in the start of a season is beyond me...
Top players start with 1000 elo AND bot 5 from last season start with 1000 ELO
What you are saying is that new players are worse than 1000 elo by default and should be placed as such while players that was below 800 ELO last season apparently doesn't need to start with 900 ELO

I voted "1000" because I don't see the logic in new players should have any harder time than those who did not perform the previus season

yes, new vouches are worse then 800s from last season. excepting some people who should've been unvouched. achilles was below 800. helekiller too. and archol. all far better then new player...

this issue doesn't change from season to season. always new vouches, always farming. @1005. I didn't want to bring it up, but half the people voting on that issue saw Diablo_ saying a bunch of lies about how the system works, and voted based only off the first post.

!support eld
900

bottom is already formed after 2 days haha, pretty much same ppl as last season.
!bot

new ppl is no biggie please be nice and patient with them, but eld issue is true and matters only first couple weeks till elo sets.

on another subject, as i understand it was anyone under 800 auto unvouch, is it possible to restore it ? and even set it at 875.

Isn't using the challenge mode at the beginning a good way to dodge such scenarios of one team getting 3 newly vouched players?

This. Same applies to top players starting with 1000 ELO which is way below what they should have. Season starts are obviously unbalanced, as long as we reset the ELO and whether new players start with 900 or 1000 ELO have no meaningful nor noticeable impact. Yes, sometimes it would be "more balanced", but sometimes it wouldn't and what would be changed is that the !scores would be like 16/14 instead of 15/15 ... if you cry about such a difference it's just childish. This suggestion wouldn't change anything but increasing the workload for us (if it would even be technical possible).

Fact: eld u cant win all the time, stop whining about it - and just for once take some responsibility as a Veteran Lihl-player and contribute with some constructive coaching on the go - everyone starts with the same conditions as you, so just because you dont win with the same conditions doesnt auromatically mean that everyone new sucks. . . - regarding the contribution, id reccomend everyone to share knowledge and tips with the new Players - coaching shouldnt Be a problem for a "skilled seasoned player"

fuck, fiji you're an idiot.

a. stop making this personal.

b. if you have to coach them, they're not a 1k elo player. that means you are denying the elo system in your very suggestion, stating that you don't believe they play at a high enough level for som1 above average to win with them, despite them being supposedly average. whether or not you consider it a "problem" is irrelevant to whether it's right for the league.

This was completely overwhelming your message... and it's about a topic, not about whether I can coach them.... why should the burden to coach them be on me whenever I want to play a game? Completely retarded, even when a player doesn't mind coaching.

Let's not act like there aren't rules about new vouches already (that are being broken). One, for example: Don't balance a team so that all players on one team are new vouches.....*cough *cough diablo

Get your facts straight before you try to slander me, I never used swap to stack newly vouched players on one team lol.

Swapping

All players must be in the game before any swaps are made.
All players must agree to the swap.
Any flaming/abuse/'convincing' with regards to getting a player to agree will not be tolerated.
Players have the right to disagree at any time. That means if a players agrees in the channel, then he does not need to agree in the lobby.
Trial players can never be swapped so they are alone on the same team.

So where exactly did I break a rule?
