I didn't dc either of those games, actually.
(00:05 / All) EldryanTheWise: Please wait for me to reconnect (81 seconds remain).
(00:05 / All) DaMexican-: [V1rus] recalled vote to draw the game.
(00:05 / All) DaMexican-: Player [Psyclone] voted to drop laggers.
(00:05 / All) DaMexican-: EldryanTheWise lagged out (
dropped by vote).
09:27 / All) Law3: Player [
V1rus] voted to drop laggers.
(09:27 / All) Law3: EldryanTheWise lagged out (
dropped by vote).
I might've dced in the 2nd one anyways, but was close - I got my connection stabilized around the deadline anyways....
Will you ban the people who are kicking me for small lag, instead of waiting for me to reconnect?
@armedanddeadly It's annoying to me to be kicked in these games by people breaking the rules, and have a moderator there who doesn't punish for illegal drop.

Votekicking laggers or dropping them is not ban-able at ENT, regardless of you using gproxy.

It's pretty logical that people shouldn't kick gproxy users before the time has ran out, I mean that's exactly what we are using it for.
Should be added as a rule before it becomes common practice (in the past dc penalties weren't enforced in such cases - which happened maybe 2-3 times).

We had several non-lihl staff discussions about this and it has been decided. Personally, I disagree with it, too. However, in LIHL, it should be a clear part of sportsmanship to not drop players who use gproxy. So more of an attitude kind of thing than the need to get rules, in my opinion.

I generally agree with that. We were just all tired of his continous lagging (was clearly not only me) and we just wanted to start the next game. If it would have been another player with a better chance to fix his lags/reconnect, I am sure we wouldnt have dropped him * too early*. It was not very early btw. and we just dropped him by clicking drop, not by using !votekick.
Mb we were a little inpatiant but this inpatiance wasnt coming from nothing cause all agreed.

Well imo, we could make a rule against dropping/vote laggers(that use Gproxy) that only apply in lihl, since we kinda are a different environment.

Thats what i am currently doing, most of eldryans kick were out of the timer of proxxy.Having a guy who constantly lags is annoying though you can figure that much.

Uak already adjusted drop screen timer so that as someone keeps lagging his lag timer will decrease. Meaning, if you start at 45 seconds, it'll b 30 15 10 later.
Yes, not dropping someone to preserve the game is sportsmanship. However, do note that unlike in pub, lihl games have to be drawn if someone disconnects. Therefore, if players are unwilling to wait and drop a player and decide to draw = fair enough. It is the lagger's fault for stalling/ruinning the game.
If eld dcs, report him and he will accrue points.
