Can we ban delays already?

It's so tiring losing to the same people on 17 over and over again just because they have no class.

would you consider splitting a delay? or leaking on purpose a delay? all these things delay the game technically

i think he talks about building some units on first possible position, to delay. would like to see this banned aswell :D

just wait new map, like hbc said it will create pbs.
delay top isnt necessary the first row, it can be 2nd 3rd ... and still work. that same third row is used for splitting.

even if delay is completely banned, it doesn't solve clog.

brouder made a very nice map, idk why its not in lihl yet.
wait for brouder a week or so, he might have access to 3.41 unlocked and change the clog and mode.

Yes this

It's just disgusting to out play your opponents the whole game and come to 17 with more value , lumber and heals then just lose because the other team does not even consider the idea of holding and just only build delays

Another form of clog imo

Yes, I agree. This is simply another form of clog but no way to enforce this without mods being forced to judge case-by-case and reds refuse to let mods think and judge by them selves. So no this probably wont be a rule.

Any form of purposely delaying could work but would change the whole entire league.

I dont even understand why not enough lihl players seem interested in testing brouder's map and improve it so we can move on with our current outdated map. I see so much potential, yet lack of interest/participation.

I already noted about delays when clogging at lvl 17 before at a diff topic, but not many people actually bothered to reply to my topic. From what I recall, some players treated "delays" as an acceptable strategy.

Why does this have to be judged case by case? Seems to be one of those "should be allowed" or "should not be allowed" gameplay/strat. Just like allowing or disallowing dark green area building.

We could simply say delays are not allowed in lihl and say anything spaced or built beyond 3.5 tower space or w/e value will be considered a delay tower. (this would allow split towers)

Delays or not delays does not make such a big difference in the clog situations, it does make a small difference, but overall the big "delay" when clogs appear is the fact that units barely move because to much leaks, which means units go very slow to king. At the moment, pretty much all of the "top elo" players in the league right now are people who seem to think the clog plays(both pre 10,and to delay death on levels after 10) are acceptable, which means they gain a huge advantage against the players who refuse to use this bug in their gamestyle...

so @nabo. you are saying that we may not upgrade a tot? as this is a delay unit? totally ban polar bears? No this is exactly a judge case-by-case example. What if you build only polar bears = delays.
But as I am a straight up LTD player, who rarely do anything rulebreaking I would highly approve of a total ban of delays.

I personally feel if we're going to make delays not allowed. It should be across the board such as not splitting etc. Everyone can build delays

If you are building an upgraded tot or polar where your major units are, thats delay? Aint that just aura?

I thought delays are towers people build way ahead or way behind of your main towers to stall the wave coming to you, therefore stalling time from leak point till king?

My point being that if people build half their value of delay units (tots, polars etc.) then it's basically the same as splitting your units as it delays just as much if not more. How will you cope with a team that builds only units that slow.
