In regards to this post today, https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=207&t=72672 I am recommending we add the following to the rules for observers. In the above post an observer left while level 14 was happening after both teams sent Warlocks for level 15 to be sure to sign for the next game. This is acceptable if leaving AFTER both teams already see the sends.

Observers may not leave on a level where a team is sending unless the creeps have already spawned for that level.

so this could also lead to "fake" leave on lvls where sends are possible but noone does til somebody leaves- could make teams wet their pants and feel forced to send if fearing to die- ur suggestions means, that in the end no obs can leave until final send

Leaving before send means a team is sending? Not really, but could indicate so.

We can put a note on wiki asking obs to avoid leaving till sends are out. But, doubt we need a rule.

this does happen quite often. obs should know better than to leave until after that round has started, technically this can be reported as ghosting if under the right circumstance.

Myself and many others also consider this ghosting. We need to have something along these lines added somewhere, or else this trend will continue (as has happened many times before).

Same goes with obs who type !gn or !players via /f m when they see a side is sending.

You're gonna have to rephrase that rule otherwise leaving on level 5, 7 and other non 'kill levels' will technically be bannable.

Can observer leave begins on any level when creeps start spawn out? This rule has a flaw of letting players know, the next level is not sent. Unless you do rephase it unambiguously.

Another option is observed just going AFK.

This. If you make this a rule and someone leaves during level 16, you can be sure the enemy does not send level 17. So it just shifts the problem. I think it's good you raised awareness for players that their observer actions can have an influence on the game. I think many people weren't aware of that and now they are. Raising awareness is enough, because if they KNOW their action reveals something in the game and still do it, it is willingly giving a tell to players in the game and that would be ghosting.

Yeah, hard to actually write down a technical rule for this.... but as long as people are more aware now... mission accomplished!

Will make a note if looks necessary in the near future.
