Greetings - are there any ways to make 2s more attractive or active, dear fellows?

I barely can play any lihl games due this (because people tend to wait for the other modes than to start a 2s) and because my time is limited too haha

Im worse in 4s than in 2s too

All 2's game are already 15/15 ELO, so not sure what else you can do to promote them!

Unfortunately not enough to make some play or they just tend to dislike 2s (or avoid playing against or with certain players)

there are only several ppl playing 2s.. me, 1007, fiji, brave, achilles, dweiler, shrimp, ship and some others. rest i dk why they dodge a 2s game

I personally hate 2s, and somewhat dislike 3, but the biggest issue I have with 2s and sometimes 3s is that they can deny people action. I've had times when there's 6 players willing to play, but instead it becomes a 2v2 + 2 people sitting over. Same with 3s, when there's 8 players willing to play. This is especially true when a couple of players are signed for 2s or 3s, and u cant even "upgrade" it to a 4s, even though u know a game is about to end.

In my opinion it's already pretty hard to get consistent games in lihl (compared to 1200+ for instance), and "allowing" the maximum amount of players to play should have nr. 1 priority if u ask me.

Anyways just my 2 cents, I had plenty of time to write this since there's a 3s running at the moment that could have been a 4s :'(

I would say its quite evenly which modes are most preffered to play.
There´s only one way to make 2s more popular, it is to do the same as the ones who only play 4s, stop agreeing to make 3s or 4s after a 2s or 3s is hosted, because in most cases, its the ones who refuse to play other than 4s who are swapped in.

Very normal situation in lihl:3 players signing for 2s, 1 or 2 players doesnt sign because they dont like 2s, when a 4th player shows up, these players who doesnt sign for 2s goes into lobby and asks for 3s.
Which means, the people who had to wait 25 mins to get their 2s, are now "accepting" to play 3s, to be nice and let these players not sit out.

So Hao, only way to make more 2s, is to make the people who refuse to play 2s start playing it, or they get to sit out when its hosted.
Just like the ones who refuses to play 2s makes sure there are no games started at all when they dont sign.


Just an example of the opposite of what you just wrote tho ava. When there´s 12 players who wants to play, and instead of starting 3s and 3s(since there are people refusing to 2s), you and alot of people who loves to play 4s, are starting 4s and 4 players sits out because they cant 3s and some refuse to 2s...This happens Way more often than 6 players starting 3s when there´s 2 more to sign. Your post in an example of that, when 3 are signed for 2s, and a 4s is ending...you want to 4s and let people sit out instead of playing 2 3s with 3 players signed for 2s,+ yourself and 8 from another game coming soon

Poblem is some of them dodged me last time haha (no names!). Dont be scared, i dont bite! I lost 80 elo in 4 games in a row in 2s with Fiji once

I dont mind if its a 4s or 3s, but if there are 4 people in the room and 1-2 refuse to 2s then it makes me sad ... and then i switch to 1200+, which i dont like that much anymore haha

@Brave Well the time i lose to force a 2s (till the other game finishes), i rather play another game and then log off usually haha

Hmmm I agree that 2 times 3v3 is way better if there is 12 players willing to play, but I still think 4s in general are the best option, since u cant always know if the second 3v3 will get running etc. etc. Maybe the system could be updated somehow so u can sign for 2s and 4s at the same time?

4s in this situations, which happens in about 90% of those cases, means 4 players sit out tho,which is pretty much the worst case scenario since 4 players are left out...

There's not much that can be done to get more 2s games going if many players simply don't enjoy it that much (which I can understand since it is pretty different than 4s).

incease or decrease elo for 2s, instead of 15/15, 20/20 or 10/10, maybe even in a form of a wager

Great idea. I would play a lot more 2's with a 10/10 ELO option.

People don't like 2s because they can't yolo as easily and the mode actually requires more skill.

I play a lot of 2s, and like them ... still i think they would be even better, if the mode is -sdgmcb
