Legion TD 2: Standalone Sequel to Legion TD

Postby Jules » Thu Feb 11, 2016 1:12 am

Hey guys!

I'm Jules. I'm a long-time Warcraft 3 player (played since 2002) and long-time Legion TD player (played since 2009).

I was talking to KinG23 today while spectating a high Elo match in LIHL, and he mentioned that I should make a post here. I'm working with Lisk (the guy who created the original Legion TD) to make Legion TD 2. Basically, imagine Legion TD with better graphics, the ability to reconnect, matchmaking for fairer games, Elo ladders, stat-tracking, and the ability to fully mod the game. To be clear, this is not a Warcraft 3 map; it's a free-to-play standalone game that will be available on Steam. :)

Here's an in-game image of some Aqua Spirits in lane:

Anyway, I'll be doing a lot of the game balancing for Legion TD 2 and wanted to watch you guys (pro players) play the game and get your advice on ways the game could be improved. I used to be good at the game 7 years ago, but I went to college and got a job and haven't played much recently. I'm also looking to get back into the game and get good again. :D

Thanks for listening!

Hey there :) If you need anything, just PM(private message) me on the forums, or whisper me on Bnet. My account is nore]juno@useast, I believe I saw you in the channel earlier. I can help out with whatever you may need when I am available. I used to test the maps when newer versions were issued, and helped approved the current one being used for LIHL after testing it for sometime. Looking forward to helping if you'd like! :D
God is my strength.

Thanks, Nore! Would love to talk with you. Can you send me a PM? It says I don't have permission to write one. :(

Talk to our map makers, @broud3r and @Halibel
They have adjusted the ltd 3.41 for us to correct some game mechanics.
They are aware of unbalances and map abuses.

LIHL players are best to consult when u have a working beta.
if your job is balancing you should consider playing in lihl, u can apply in the vouch section.

GL with the LTD2.

You should post something in the technical support section located here: https://entgaming.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=11
They can enable your PM ability once they process the topic you make. PM me when this has happened please ;)

Thanks. I'll be sure to reach out to them.

The focus right now is building the actual game (same core gameplay as Legion TD, of course). Balance will come a bit later but will be very important. :)

Glad to have your support! Right now, we're focused on making the game for PC. Legion TD is the only competitive TD and we believe that it works best on the computer. With that said, a mobile version is a definite possibility - just not a priority right now! :)

In case of balancing (towers, king spell, ...) ill suggest a discussion here to get the most possible feedback

Though i do have a question ... will there be different modes too? For example that every player is teaming up against the AI (with different difficulties) and protect the king for many rounds (or infinitely) of levels etc?

Good question
