Yo yo.. When the new ranking system was introduced this season I recall Nabo saying it was on "trial" and would be reconsidered after a while.

Do we know if it's here to stay or not?

Btw let me take a short moment to remind people that this new system is bad, promotes inequality and punishes the weak, leaving them in the gutter, with no other option but to beg, steal or sell themselves for elo. And you rich players can turn a blind eye to this injustice, but we're still here, dropping closer and closer to sub 0 in this unforgiving new setting

It will stay for the rest of the season I guess. After that we will see.

I didnt know that lihl was a place for people who needs to be carried ?

Imo this new system works fine. It gives a better view of skill lvl.

I haven't experienced the old system, however it is kind of baffling why votebalance is even an option? Should this not be mandatory? -_-

Or even, if there is a major difference in score between A and B, the game should not count towards rank, which would essentially make vote balance a thing players have to use? I mean, what is the point of having a system orientated towards viewing skill if players are just going to use it to unbalance the game?

@Edmontonian this forum and topic is about the Legion in house league and has nothing to do with the public bots.
but i can understand that both of the legion forums are easy to confound since they got both the same name.

Funny how before this system people were like blah blah I'm good but the elo system is broken blah blah I'm better than beep.

Well if there is no carrying, people below average who grinds a lot of games will experience horrible results in terms of elo. I personally wouldnt enjoy being -367 elo, losing 60 %+ of my games consitently. Even if I played better and got up to a 45% winrate or so, I would still be dropping, just at a slower rate.

Yes people should just "get better", but there will always be some who is below average. If this new system is so good please introduce it on 1200+ so high elo players won't have to play 10/20 games, or be forced to play with low elo players if they want 15/15 exchange. Kappa.

Well some players are very desillusional about their own skill. Poor results must be caused by bad luck, bad system etc. The old system was not unfair in that regard, apart from the fact that u could play 2v2's - 15/15 games, which would benefit / hurt some players doing it.

Sometimes yes, sometimes not - bad rolls and/or bad players (or a player who got a bad game) do cause a certain amount of this factor. But still the main factors are ideal sending, right decisions (pushing/building), king spell (immo/wave/stomp) etc. As the modes also share a different gameplay again (2v2 is a huge difference compared to 4v4, as 2s punish suicide incoming if it goes wrong etc)

No one would enjoy it, but if u cant keep a better % well then thats the outcome. Imo this is a league for "pro" players, with that being said wouldnt it be kinda strange to have to do whats best for the lowest skilled ?

idc if it stays or goes, but it's not better than the old system in my opinion. It does make for some funny games though aka 22/8 elo balance sometimes

+ This system is decent imo, making a larger gap between bot and top list, is good since it force low elo players to try hard and improve more than last system.

- The current one is not a elo system but a w/l rate, and elo is keeping just to adjust 'dc pen', nothing else.
imo no problems with w/l rate system but better find a way to include 'dc pen' matter without elo pen, and delete elo .
