Your probably already aware of it.
Was testing Hellhalt with the new bnet patch, it isn't playable at all in single player.

Re: Your probably already aware of it.
Im having issues too. Not with hellhalt but just booting w3 in general post-patch... no time atm to figure it out. Anyone else?
Those wings, I want them too.
Re: Your probably already aware of it.
WC3 now boot's up in native resolution. Ingame get's fixed to widescreen again, tho the game is completly unplayable. I lag seriously bad with a monster pc, and everyone disconnects
Is there any fix to this soon?

Re: Your probably already aware of it.
Did anyone figure out a workaround, to get hellhalt running again?

Completely unplayable now after update...any news or ideas when it will work again?

@UpRoar
They updated WC3 to specifically have 4:3 in the menu/load screens, and to be full widescreen within the game itself. There is no workaround for this at the moment as it technically is full widescreen support.

With regards to your lag, what map are you playing?
A list of bugs from 1.29 we're developing can be found HERE.

@Kuddel
There is no workaround as the map itself needs to be updated. Currently, once the initial wave spawns it lowers the FPS dramatically, and causes your game client to freeze.

@zeljkot
Depends on what map you're playing, some were updated in anticipation of the 1.29 patch and are unaffected. There are even some maps that were for the most part unaffected and still function properly. However, there are a large number of maps that have been bugged by the 1.29 patch release. These will need to be patched by the map creators.
Some of the bugs introduced seem to be universal accross all maps, such as being unable to sell items back to the store (DotA/LoD). If Blizzard were to release a hot-fix, they could potentially fix one or two of those issues across all maps. However, in the end the map creator will likely still need to update their map.
***EDIT***
Just realized this was under Hellhalt, will need the creator to comment if he has a timeline on a map update if available.

If you play some games, you'll see widescreen support in all its glory.
