Violated Rule(s): tk and game ruin - overbuilding far too much on 5/6/7 instead of pushing, which made us use 3 heals on 7 instead of 2 (due to low lumber from his OB). Overbuilding for 10 when he should have simply pushed (and was told so multiple times by myself and teal, Damasus90). After 10 we decided to stay low, build for 17 and pray for the best, given we had two mutants. Ghery had mutants but decided to up to lots of oceanus instead. If he got pure mutants, he would still do ok on 13 and hold 17 a lot harder, and give us a chance.
Time of Violation (in-game or replay): Right after 5, just before 6, before 7, just before 10, and 11-12.
Any further thoughts: Ghery has played over 850 games. He has acquired a considerable reputation as being a poor player. However, given the breadth of his experience, he must know what the correct plays are in standard situations. It is impossible to think he does not know when it is best to push and when to OB, especially when his team points it out to him and ask him to do so.
Given that he must know this and still chooses not to act accordingly, he is intentionally game ruining. 1200+ is pretty competitive, and if one player isn't pulling their weight (even after being given plenty of advice) it's extremely difficult to win. If he's a player who doesn't know better, and is just playing poorly out of ignorance, then it's another matter. But ghery has no excuse - he has been told how to play multiple times and played far too much to claim ignorance.

As he customarily asks for lengthy bans in his own requests, I'll echo him in this case - he deserves a very long ban to make him change his behaviour.

I don't need any support ghery; the evidence is in the replay. And I'm not requesting a ban for you because I don't like you (which I don't); I'm requesting it because you ruin games and destroy the experience for other players.

If you were playing for a win, you would have taken common sense advice and played differently (better). As you didn't, you intentionally game ruined.

It doesn't matter whether you agree with it or not. It's objectively the right play. For example, do you think you can stay 1/0 with mortars, build 300 value for 1 and say "well I just want to hold extra hard and that's my opinion and I don't agree with you." ?

It's not a matter of opinion. Sometimes there are cases when the best decision is ambiguous or a matter of style - this was not such a case.

just because a player does not live up to your standards, even after a high number of games, does not mean he is intentionally throwing.

Not following your advice is not against our rules.
Not overpushing with aqua is not against our rules.

He sent with you, upgraded king with you.

By the way, he had 7 mutants on 17, and juiced them all. Not something someone who is trying to throw would do.
