Any further thoughts: Although Murloc(green) had based there (top right), I had my research center there since the beggining of the game (before he based there) and so I feel he should've had to ask to kill it before doing so.

Here's the rule:

Refusing to leave base after being asked by owner. However, you may stay in the base if
a. the titan is near and escaping would lead to death
b. your escape skills are on cooldown.
Meanwhile, you mustshare your control with the base owner, so he can move your builder insidethe base.

From what I saw, you went in to buy some things from the merchant and then take your leave. He was asking for shared control thinking you were going to stay inside, which you didn't do because you weren't going to stay, so he tked your rc which was there for the entirety of the game. Now because you weren't staying in the base, and they saw that (saw you leave), you did not have to share.

Technically that base was claimed by you, so he had no rights to base there in the first place. However as you did not ask him to stop basing there nor did he ask you if he could base there, I am going to say no one ruled over this base. As a Draenei, your rc is the most important thing to his survival, without one you may aswell be dead. Then he teamkilled it after you left the base, and you were left very vulnerable.

I'm going to say it wasn't fair that he teamkilled your rc, but you didn't die because of it and the game went on just fine. I will issue a warning ban of 2 hours for team kill.
