Game Name: [ENT] DotA apem us/ca #45
Your Warcraft III Username: PwnLikeMe
Violator's Warcraft III Username: amuro
Violated Rule(s): Maphacking
Time of Violation (in-game or replay): The entire game, just didn't make it too obvious until
25:37 - suddenly changes direction with no vision of URSA going to rosh, if you pause the game at this second you will see that he suddenly changes the direction of the charater, with no vision on the map that ursa is going to rosh, URSA is not even close to geting to rosh, but only if you see the map you can tell that now you should go (why would you change the direction so suddenly if you have no vision ?
25:52 - finds ursa roshing , first time ever checking rosh in the game with no vision at all
Any further thoughts: He didn't deny that he was maphacking, he said it is his last game for today anyway.
I just hope people stop using maphacks and act as if they are not using.

Any time there is an ursa one should blindly check rosh. This one instance will not serve as sufficient proof. Do you have other time stamps?

but if you see the replay, you will find out that the entire map is warded by his team.
I am just noticing people who are using maphacks this days, they don't make it super obvious, are you saying it is ok to use maphack and just not to have too many time stamps where it is dead obvious ? All I am saying is that if you watch the replay at that time stamp it makes no sense at all. I am just trying to get rid of maphackers in the community, they don't improve the game at all.

If you are going to make silly comments like that Im not going to take this very seriously.

In the same game there were other instances of "coincidences" , but those are really arguable if he just got lucky. The once instance I am pasting it is dead obvious. If I watch his other game he played and if I find other undeniable evidence in timestamps of he using maphack, will that be sufficient for any action ?
Re: [DOTA] amuro@useast.battle.net
BeerLord, sorry for my stupid comment earlier, it is just that I have seen people who use maphacks and they just don't make it always super obvious and I just don't know what to do about it

Re: [DOTA] amuro@useast.battle.net
Fair enough. The only undeniable evidence for mh is a fog click. But most mhers these days are too smart for that, so we have to catch them through suspicious actions. But one action, no matter how suspicious, is almost never enough ( exception would be following someone invis for a long time). In this case, if ursa is not visible on the minimap, one sure should check rosh. For this kind of case, with no fog clicks, and to justify a one year ban, we need much more evidence. Yes, for some players i have reviewed 5 or more of their games before coming up with enough. Many many hours expended. Im always willing to do that, but I need more evidence to justify the effort.
Having said all that, I will look at this as is and let you know what I think.

Quite frankly it was obvious .. I mean, they had sight over u & ur forest the entire time, so after 25 mins they can see:
-Ursa going to secret shop (sentinel side)
- Ursa coming back, and his courier going on his direction, and ursa stopping near the mid ramp for a few secs
- Ursa coming mid - and daggers towards forest, disappearing (and dont forget they had ur forest warded), so if ur not farming woods, where else an ursa could go at 25 mins (considering rosh is up)?
Towards this moment, dind't see anything worth mentioning - he even used his allies as bait
PS: You should have guessed he would catch u on rosh, considering he ganked u at ancients (sentinel side) a few mins earlier, so it was obv they had sight on your side of the map

2524 he has vision of you getting smoke from your courier, and at 2530 he has vision of you crossing mid lane moving east. Not hard to figure where you were heading.
