Pretty sure, the bannable part is to sell it immediately after purchase. Looks like the ember player had to get more damage to try to win the game, but failed to do so. Looks like the scourge team also sold some linkens, such as sniper. Its unfortunate that it is glitched, but sometimes you have to sell defensive items in order to win the game. Doesn't look like intentional glitching to me. Looks like the shaker player also verbally harassed the ember all game past 40 mins, and threatened to ban him with his moderator connections (you will be banned 1 week promise, just wait, etc.). Seems fishy, but just my opinion.

First of all, it doesn't matter when you sell or whether it's for a new item or not. It's a bug, if you're getting the item, you cannot sell it to abuse the bug. (This is from reading past posts. Correct me if I'm wrong mods.)

Second of all, verbally abuse? Below is the chat. After this guy stated the racist remark in bold below, did I respond similarily. (He should actually be banned for that racist remark tbh)
Third of all, threaten to ban him with connections? I said I was uncertain how long the ban was and that I was not a mod, but from reading rules, I was certain abusing linken glitch was a ban.

I have spoken with another moderator and we both agree that while there is a valid case to sell Linkens, regardless of the duration of the game, the rule is to not purposely glitch or exploit in a game. Considering there is no denial that you didn't know it would still have the effect when you sold it, a ban is appropriate. The best way moving forward regarding linkens and this rule is to plan accordingly. Like I've stated, I understand the need to sell the linkens to boost your damage but at the same time, other players were affected by this and it did have an impact on the game. Kunkka stated a great suggestion and I would like to add that one fix should probably be a requirement to hold Linkens for 40 minutes before you can sell it. If you guys are interested in recommending certain suggestions regarding this, I've started a thread so we can discuss this.

Considering this is usually a longer ban penalty, we understand that every game is different and so we have reduced the ban to four days.
