Any further thoughts: Not the first time he has left a game because of a bad roll or leaking. Truly unfair and a waste of time for everyone else playing. I wish I could get that elo back.

ENT does not ban players further for leaving.

We do not intentionally enforce extra ban length from just leaving. Unless he was afk he will just receive normal autoban. Autoban bans players with low stay % longer.

Autoban handles leavers in many cases. There are no outside bans granted for leaving. As he continues to leave, he will receive longer and longer autobans based on his stay-rate.
