Any further thoughts:we had 3 good players/heros..he just gave up after the second player dropped, making it 3v5..unshared, and afk'd.

Yes, its against the rules to unshare Couriers after having you provide the recipe.

With limited time left in the game and the situation was 3v5 not in favor of your team, I am giving him a superficial ban period. Also noting that he may leave the game without serving any autoban.
