And fyi there will probably be a ban thread about me... some nerds were raging about how I abused a "bug" (selling this pot that looks just like a potion of rejuv). It sold for 200g instead of 4g. Honestly I thought the map seemed hacked. I don't see how its bug abuse, my first time as titan and I had no clue this even existed. Everyone was like "thats bannable". So they said I would be banned for using the gold... I bought 2 tridents of power and it was like 3 minutes in. This needs to be fixed asap. And please don't ban me for this, would be like my 5th or 6th ban. How was I supposed to know, 2nd time playing map, and first as titan. You should start putting the bugs or make me a beta tester so I at least know whats up instead of getting banned for simply playing the map. Pretty sure it was purple that did it on purpose, to try and get me banned again. Game name was [Ent] Island Defense #30 around 11:30 on 3/29.

1) Tauren needs fortified armour in AR.
2) Magnataur should be nukable and be able to be WOTW in avatar form.
3) Tauren's ward ability should be able to be researched from RC, instead of enfeeble, which should be in ARC.
4) Tauren's move speed should be buffed to match mag's.

Why should taurens armour change due to a gamemode that you choose? Mags already been nerfed enough due to wand of neutri - GG avatar. I quite agree that ward should come before enfeeble but then again mag has a slow at the start of the game and a escape after basic research. I dont think it should be in arc but ward coming before it in rc does sound about right? tauren has charge whereas mag has no speed buff unless you count his slow as a minus speed buff to the enemy in which he has a similar chance of escape ignoring insta punish. Its already hard enough to catch a tauren w/o wands lol

Why? It wasn't reduced to prevent tauren rushes. It was reduced for the actual game.

Avatar is all about Spell Immunity, I don't think this is necessary.

I'm under the impression that Tauren is slower than Mag, but I'm not 100% sure. In public Beta at the moment, Mag has very fast move speed, and Tauren has only fast.

I don't mind the Mag's avatar that much, but I just find it weird that only Mag has spell immunity, and morph/tauren does not. He is also the tankiest of the three while under avatar, and has a better duratoin/CD than tauren. (Morph's avatar isn't really used much either, since he is one of the top tier basers right now)

BTW, before we begin this section, I'd like to restate that AR = ancestral rage when I'm talking about tauren, not -ar. Also, I want to state that changing Tauren's armour to heavy is perfectly fine, I don't mind it one bit. Tauren's charge ability is actually really really good, and I prefer it over Nether, so Tauren's heavy armour is a good nerf. I really didn't expect someone to get this mixed up, especially a map editor. ;) ;)

What I want to point out is that I find that Tauren's AR is really really weak - he dies so quick even with AR on. Even a Demo can out-tank a Tauren after a certain amount of gold. At the moment he is just far too weak, for a builder that is supposed to be tanky to constantly poke the titan, and kill minions.

I'm sure it isn't intended that when titan has high attack damage, it means he can three to five shot a 1300hp tauren with avatar on? Please enlighten me the logic here, the usefulness of this 80 gold 8500 research upgrade that gives 1000 health points, 3 tauren guards and a 1 second stun, which also prevents you from golding for what feels like a year, then tell me that Tauren's AR does not need a buff.

Here's how I give out each and every suggestion:

For builder suggestions:
1) How much will this suggestion make the builder/titan more fun to play, compared to balance issues?
2) Will this suggestion make the builder underpowered?
3) Will this suggestion make the builder overpowered?

Vice versa for titans. Every change you make to the map, consider these questions, and you will go far, especially by considering question number 1), which will making Island Defense a more entertaining game. Every single suggestion I've made in this topic has gone under extensive thinking and made after hours of play. To be honest, I feel a little insulted that people would think that I would suggest something such as changing Tauren's armour to fortified at the start of the game. I have always stated that Tauren is too OP at golding and a good Tauren would be able to gold at gold mound without worrying about dying too easily by a WW kill. The problem is that Tauren's AR is not worthy of its epic name.

I agree with Burn about Tauren having fortified armor in Ancestral Rage. Heavy armor nerf was necessary, but now Tauren is useless compare to Mag or any other builder to be honest. His walls, spells, and tankability aren't as good as Mags. Also his towers aren't even that good compare to other base builders. It really puts him in awkward position now. Ancentral rage tauren with decent gold died in 5 hits at one point, and Titan wasn't even that farmed.

@neco demons summons do seem pretty tanky, probably from heavy armour.

Yeah, I've noticed that as well, but I think it's fine. Demo summons were way too weak in 3.0.9d. Their HP pool needed a buff.

Make it a upgrade in rc. Doesnt need to cost a lot of lumber, just take some time.

Otherwise the blietzkrig strat would be opopoppoopopoppoop.

Tauren just need to have charge researched instead of baseline, it would fix him being able to get 45g before titan finishes the first lumber base. Yes I know he wont have an escape. So what? Make Charge 800-1000 wood research to give tauren some downtime at the start of the game. and just revert him back to fort armor period.

Tauren having no escape ability whatsoever ruins the entire point of a game having to have counters otherwise it would be completely imbalanced + tauren with fort armour has been the most complained about and op builder due to his damage resistance being ridiculous.

Charge + Enfeeble > WW + Frostbite.

For rewalling and golding.

PW > AR though, for rewalling.

Ok, swap enfeeble baseline and charge would replace enfeeble in the research tree. Problem Solved.
