Wrongful Ban...Please unban me!

Postby WhipThatNig » Sun Jan 03, 2016 11:33 pm

Your Warcraft III username: RectalStretcher
Realm/Gateway: RectalStretcher@useast.battle.net
Why are you banned: Votekick abuse
Why you should be unbanned: During [ENT] DotA apem us/ca #54:

I feel I was wrongfully banned for votekick abuse. The reason I feel I should not be banned is because (brown-smellynuts) and myself (grey-rectalstretcher). We seriously believed that (pink-Erikgor) was trying to game ruin/grieving due to his early feeding and lack of team participation in the first half of the game. I know the rules and would have not voted if I felt like there was no reason to votekick. It's not like brown and I just decided to votekick someone because we felt like it.

I will have to say that we were not the only two who had a suspicion of this. Here are my reasons why,

(In-game or replay):

17:34 (pink-erikgor) states "They just don't deserve to win" (Imo...this is a sign of player is not going to help team)

17:52 (Green-El_Caeser) votes as well (obviously he had the same feeling about pink early game),

17:55 (yellow-slapuhard) votes (obviously he had the same feeling about pink early game),

18:06 (Orange-Kael) votes (obviously he had the same feeling about pink early game).

If other players voted they obviously had the same or some kind of feelings that brown and I had about (Pink-Erikgor) playing early game. I did notice that (Pink-Erikgor) playing increased as he pretty much farmed all game and the "votekicking" started throughout the game.

I have had some bad experiences with the style of playing like (Pink-Erikgor) displayed early game by other DOTA players but never get votekicked and does truly end up game ruining. You can not blame me for having my guard up during games. All I want is a fair and fun game without people game ruining.

I do feel I need to be unbanned do to the fact that the "votekick" never went through and all (brown-smellynuts) and myself were doing was to prevent from having a crappy game. Imo...I was not votekicking to abuse it, but simply preventing from having a bad game.

I have one question...if (brown-smellynuts) and myself (grey-rectalstretcher) were the only 2 to get banned, even though other players (Scourge and Sent) voted and went unbanned. How is that fair we are banned from trying to prevent having a possible game ruiner?

If this ban continues, I do feel that (pink-erikgor) needs to be banned as well for his actions...Please review (In-game or replay): 52:49 Team was fighting in mid lane and I was intentionally forced staffed by pink while I had blademail on attacking SA trying to save SB. Since I was forced staffed out of the fight...SB died and I probably could have killed SA and save SB from dying. Please take this into consideration!

Sorry this appeal is lengthy...but I feel that this ban is wrongful and would like admin to please reconsider.

Thank you in advance.

Hello whipthatnig,

please link us the general rules and the game specific rules of the game(s) you got banned in, and highlight the specific rule(s) you believe you violated.
You can find them on our wiki.

That way, we can ensure another rule-violation by you, caused by not-knowing the rules, will not happen again. After linking us to the rules, we expect you to have read them. Cooperating with us will have a positive effect on your ban duration.

Also, highlight the votekick abuse rules.

Pink was 0-3 when you concluded he was throwing the game and attempted to votekick him. After considering all of the chat between the 3 of you, as well as the game play, I am of the opinion that there was no evidence that pink was trying to throw the game. He was active and even somewhat effective despite that poor start. If your votekick had carried then I would also have banned those that voted yes. If you had only tried to inappropriately votekick him once or twice i might have just warned you. But you tried four times to kick him. Please review the rules pertaining to votekick abuse as asked for above.

If you wish to submit a ban request for pink then please do so and I will review it.

KinG23,

I would like you reciprocate Whips's appeal. We talked about this for awhile today because we both don't quite understand that if someone shows gameplay to be ruining plus chats suggestive things in the game that he is and going to ruin, why wouldn't someone start a votekick? I admit that maybe the amount of times a votekick was started can seem to be malicious or excessive, in my defense I have been denied ban votekick abuse requests because the number of votekick opportunities that were given in game. It's very difficult to convince another team to kick a player based on things they cannot see or read, especially master_pain who ignored most of the team.

I appreciate your time in reading Whip's appeal and also my reply.

Beerlord...So you stated in your reply "But you tried four times to kick him. Please review the rules pertaining to votekick abuse as asked for above."

I only started the votekick 1 time and the other 3 times were started by SmellyNuts. So again you quoted..." If your votekick had carried then I would also have banned those that voted yes. If you had only tried to inappropriately votekick him once or twice i might have just warned you."

According to your statements above...I should have only been warned...right? And if you are counting times that I voted than the rest of the voters should also received equal ban as me.

Since the votekick never carried out then I feel I should not be banned and warned as you stated above.

Thanks
