banned because "game griefing"

Postby eumops » Sat Dec 17, 2016 4:14 pm

Your Warcraft III username: eumops
Realm/Gateway: uswest
Why are you banned: some guy reported me because I stood at fountain after dying, when our team was losing 16-28, and we had two lanes raxed.
Why you should be unbanned: because game was over, I just wanted game to end to join another game, thing that I did after we forfeited (my team even won the next game).

There's a game rule which says:

Do not leave before the game has certainly ended, especially if no other player has left.

there's another one which states:

Do not go away from keyboard for an excessive amount of time, especially without telling other players beforehand, and/or refuse to play the game in an attempt to ruin it. Neither are you allowed to grief by resetting the afk timer.

Well, blue already had left, and I repeat, I didn't ruin the game, our team had already lost, there was no way we could win, we lost 8 ELO points in a stacked game, so, what is the big deal? I did not leave, I just stood at fountain to avoid dying more. Please unban me soon. Please, watch the replay.

I trust you have the brains to understand the situation.

Thank you. Bye.

OK, I understand I must not stay at fountain even in the last minutes of the game. Sorry, for ruining other gamers lives, I will not do it again, please unban, thank you.

Hello @eumops .

While waiting for the moderator that banned you to respond, could you please head over to our wiki page, take a moment to read our rules, and then copy paste the one you broke here?

sure, apparently I violated this rule:

Do not go away from keyboard for an excessive amount of time, especially without telling other players beforehand, and/or refuse to play the game in an attempt to ruin it. Neither are you allowed to grief by resetting the afk timer.

What I did was staying at fountain to avoid dying more, after dying several times trying to defend our base when enemies raxed two lanes. If that is ruining a game, I accept I broke the rule, sorry, I won't do it again.
