lajnuxi@europe.battle.net

Postby Lajnux » Thu Apr 13, 2017 12:48 pm

Your Warcraft III username: lajnuxi
Realm/Gateway: europe.battle.net
Why are you banned: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=108943
@Cubix claimed I used maphack. I received information from the enemy about location.

Why you should be unbanned:
@Cubix have made this false claims in posts serveral times.
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=108943
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=101450&hilit=Cubix
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=102833

Also I made report about the leaked information here. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=108947
Where I reported @Donkz for giving me information.

Also I didn't use the information. I attacked other bases first. But once you seen a message it can't be unseen right. So how should I have defended myself? By closing my eyes and muted him before he sent the message?

I can't see why I got banned.

defend yourself by stating he is ghosting information, use the ignore command, tell the game that he is violating the rules. Instead you kept quiet about it. In hindsight, there are quite a few things you could have done, but chose the easiest and say nothing.

(02:45 / Private) Donkz: Teal is to the left of the map, he's using the house glitch which is why i'm telling you.
(08:05 / All) Lajnuxi: teal you are reported btw <3
(08:14 / All) Lajnuxi: house bugg
(08:21 / Private) Donkz: Scchhhhhh lmao

How else would you have known in-game that he was house glitching?

I didn't keep quiet. I made a report about it right after the game. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=108947 .

Hello Lajnux,

please link us the general rules and the game specific rules of the game(s) you got banned in, and highlight the specific rule(s) you believe you violated.
You can find them on our wiki.

That way, we can ensure another rule-violation by you, caused by not-knowing the rules, will not happen again. After linking us to the rules, we expect you to have read them. Cooperating with us will have a positive effect on your ban duration.

The only thing I found was this. Do not ghost by leaking information to your enemies/opponents. But since I recieved the information rather then leaking it I'm not sure if I even broke a rule.

@Lajnux

You did leak information. The information you leaked was that he was abusing the house glitch based upon something else someone told you. The best thing you could have done in this scenario is acknowledge what he said and keep moving, instead of breaking a rule and bringing it to everyone's attention in all chat. You did ghost by stating he was using the house glitch, even if it wasn't where. You should have reported both the house glitch usage as well as the ghosting of the other player without stating the info leaked to you in game in all chat.

@Mercy I did make a ban request after the game. As I said in the other post I know I did wrong by speaking up in all chat about information I couldn't validate. I still believe that it's not a major abuse and therefore I shouldn't recieved a 5 day ban.

The standard duration for a ghosting offense is five days. I can only imagine if you understand to ignore future statements by people attempting to ghost instead of spreading it out in all chat, there may be leniency.

Well I didn't leak any information (ghost) since the information already been published in the allied chat. The only thing I did wrong was stating it in all chat. And the thing I stated in all chat was nothing that had an impact on the game.

I'd like to point out that your request had nothing stated about any ghosting. Ghosting ban was done in a completely different topic than your the ban request you submitted

@Matdas that is false. I made a very clear report about everything in the game.

Here is a small part that you maybe missed.

Do not ghost by leaking information to your enemies/opponents. (Donkz)
(02:45 / Private) Donkz: Teal is to the left of the map, he's using the house glitch which is why i'm telling you.

So I still claim that if any1 should have the blame it should be Donkz in first place and Adidus in secound place for making a lie report. I also wanna point out that Adidus in his report didn't even point out any ghosting and only claimed that I maphacked. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=108943

Yes, Donkz is at fault, but you used it by proclaiming in all chat what he did, making you at fault too. Adidus was within his rights to make a report if he suspected maphacking because of what you said.

I don't get what diffrence it would made if I said something or not. In best it would just be in the help of him knowing that he did something wrong if the game would have progressed to more rounds.

Therefore I claim that the only one that can be judged for ghosting is the source that leaks the information to the enemy in a way so they get a advantadge. So I claim that what I said was not a game changing factor also information that already been spread in the allied chat.
The reciever shouldn't be held for ghosting unless it can be proved that he teamed up with the source in a way to win the game.
