You make the distinction that he isn't your buddy he is a 'simple friend' and yet you have played many games together elsewhere, live very close to each other and he even lets you use his Wifi but he's only a simple friend you played some games with? Furthermore, you haven't played together here but did elsewhere.
The ip its not exactly the same when some1 join in there is a change in last numbers (random exp of ip first 193.234.5.12 second 193.234.5.25)

You are on the same Wifi in this instance, you are referring to the device number such as:
193.234.5.1 (first device) 193.234.5.2 (second device), the external address would be the same for each though as they go through the same router.
