Banned for leaving Island Defense as Observer

Why you should be unbanned: I realize that the rule I broke is under "General Rules" - Do not leave before the game has certainly ended, especially if no other player has left. and also under a new ID rule I was not aware of

-Builders which have not yet died may not leave within the first 15 minutes, unless it has been explicitly stated by an observer that they are willing to take over your builder, or at least 3 builders have already left or become observer.



I wasn't even a builder yet, I was an observer still. If I would have just stayed, and went observer instead, what would have been the difference?
seeing how this rule is new to me and that its starting to be Strictly Implemented, I would like to be unbanned, and if not possible, then atleast greatly shortened =( .I won't let it happen again. I came back to comp, the game had started and I wouldn't have been able to play it because food, so decided it would be best to leave. I got a 2 day ban for something of a first offense and i didn't even know this rule existed till now. Im a long time ID player, but a new timer to this rule, and I feel I can just get the point straight enough with a warning. This wasn't a rule until recently, so I definitely feel that the ban could be more fair. I'll do my best to try to not let it happen again, and also report users who violate this rule.

would like to get some insight to how this rule is being implemented, what would've been the difference between going obs in game, going to go get my food, eat and stay as obs just watching, rather then what I did?

Tbh I've had alot of games in the past, but it never was a rule until recently Im assuming the rule barely got implemented and wanted just a fair response and reason to why the ban and not a warning? why especially the duration? I'll try not to let it happen again, and just want a fair understanding in it and want to know how this rule is being treated, Thanks =)

Leaving before builder select is the same thing as leaving as a builder before 15 minutes game time which is the new rule. The rule is enforced the same as autoban in other games. Please complete the following so this doesn't happen again.

This still doesn't answer my question @Kappa =o ? What would have happened if I would have just not chosen a builder, and would have stayed as an observer and watched instead of picking a builder. Would I still would have to stay as an observer and watch for 15 minutes before leaving?

There is no difference between leaving as a builder and never picking a builder. You should be there for the beginning of the game just like any other game. AFKing at the start is bannable and you can see ban requests where that is enforced.

Do you understand now? In the future games will you stay for at least 15 minutes?
