Why you should be unbanned: Hi, i have been playing NWU for a series of years now and enjoy playing it. I went to log on today and it says i am banned due to too many recorded autobans. I have NOT left a game in over a week so i do not understand why is your system picking it up as i am. You guys have to understand that i am attending a university and sometimes the internet drops which causes me to lag out; but i personally do not leave games. Also, my brother, Yoko_ono[neff] plays with me in my room and plays on the same wifi. Whenever he gets dropped from a game, since we are on the same IP address, the game think i have also left the game which is very false. If you guys could fix this that would be amazing because i love playing NWU and just hate when i try to log on and it says i am banned when i know i did not leave any games.

I do not see where it says i left games. I just looked at the three screenshots you sent me. Everyime at the end when you seen peoples names that left game voluntary, that is when the game ended naturally. It wasn't from Rage quitting. Also, If you are kicked for being afk, is that bannable?! I never knew being away from the computer was a crime.. if so that is unfair. Sometimes there are something i cannot control and must attend too.

Yea i definitely just reviewed them. The game picks up AFK for leaving voluntarily. How did i leave the game VOLUNTARILY if i was kicked from it?!

afking gets longer ban duration than leaving (aka getting kicked for it).

Im sorry that life throws unexpected curve balls at me and i have to attend to them. I do not go afk on purpose its because i have to do other things as well. Look at my stay percentage.. it is in the 90's i am sure of. I am a dedicated player and one who plays well. Being AFK is definitely not a valid reason for me being banned. This is truly unfair and i think you know that as well. If you were in my position you would not want to be banned because of going afk for 5 minutes.

I want to speak with another admin because you arent treating this situation professionally.. first you bring up invalid screenshots of me thinking they stated i left the game voluntarily, when i didnt. They were recordings of me being kicked by afk. Second, i did not rage quit any games which should truly be punished, not going afk. Id like Yond or Masamune or someone else with more experience to handle this because i know for a fact, in the past, you could not get banned for being afk. You guys' new system is flaud in that sense that it picks up AFK kick as a voluntary leave.

1. They are links (and replays) and no screenshots.
2. I did not claim you left them voluntarily, I simply provided you the proof you got banned for.
3. Neither did I claim you rqed a game.
4. The system does not pick up afks as auto-ban but the result of it. If you afk at the beginning of the game and get then kicked (e.g. 10mins in), then of course, you'll receive the punishment.

and 5. I never stated to be processing your case. I give you answers on your questions. But obviously everything which is not "I'll unban you" seems wrong and unprofessional to you.

I would have unbanned you regardless the games I linked to because of your good stay rate but since you do not wish me to do that.. I'll let yondy handle this.

Imagine if every player out there went afk every single moment. Everyone has their own reasons to leave / afk, all you have to do is to manage your time a bit better. If you know you gotta go soon, then don't enter the game, sorry if it sounds harsh, but you also have to consider other people's position in this matter.

After examining yours and Art)y's opinion, I am denying this appeal. First, as Art)y stated, be happy you weren't reported for being AFK or else it would have been a longer ban depending on game count. He (being Arty) did indeed provide a professional analysis of the games and he has far more experience than I or Yondy for that matter. Second, I unbanned your brother a few days ago for the same issue for apparently having lag/drop issues. It seems a little fishy, no? As Westfield said, manage your time better or don't play the game until your personal matters are finished. Also, I recommend getting GProxy to fix disconnections. Along with this, -afk and being kicked from a game records it as leaving voluntarily because you are ejected from the game.
