Situation: I was banned for using votekick previous to a game, which I in fact did do.
Why you should be unbanned: I dont deny that I initiated a votekick on a specific player previous to the start of a game, however it was not a blind votekick based on rating/statistics. I was voting to kick a player i have been stuck with in several games who has failed time after time to perform at what would even be considered a below average level of competency. I believe his username is latino666 . I had been waiting several minutes for the game to fill, and most of the players in the game were of a reasonably intelligent stature, as I had seen in previous games with them. This guy joined the game, and I politely asked him to either switch teams or leave, being that I had played with him before, and knew how inadequate his abilities were. Subsequently his rating was in the 700's range, so other competent players were considering leaving the game. I initiated votekick with the full approval of everyone in the lobby before the votekick began. He rejoined the game, and another member of the lobby initiated the kick again. I'm not sure what their reasons were, or if they had seen his terrible play before, but my reasons for initiating a votekick were entirely legitimate and in no way abuse of the function.

The entire votekick is based on elo and play. Just because someone has a low elo does not mean you should kick. Nor is it a reason to kick someone for playing poorly. Should we votekick people for "stacking" teams? No. Either dodge the game or play it. No need to votekick low elos. Not to mention you have a history of votekicking.

Previous games take no measure. We look at this as an individual case. If you learn anything from this, it is that votekick for low elo or bad play is plain out wrong. Next time, don't play on his team or join a new lobby.

Note: This is another reason why Elo is the lamest thing in the world.

Edit: I've had plenty of games where bad play is involved. Even games where I myself failed. Not once was a votekick initiated on me for these types of games. (And yes, you would never know it was me in the game anyways). Teammates just laugh it off as having fun.
