Your Warcraft III username: McBest
Realm/Gateway: uswest
Why are you banned: lobby votekicked someone
Why you should be unbanned: Was not aware of the rule against vk'ing in lobby. The person had previously disconnected and everyone else started the votekick so I followed along. Won't do it again.

@McBest

Please link me to our general rules, and paste below the rule you broke.

I was banned in this thread for apparently an invalid votekick in lobby. As mentioned the person DC'd in the game previous and someone started a votekick against him in lobby. Everyone voted, so I voted as well.

Actually not quite sure what rule I broke exactly.

This maybe?
Kicks and bans are enforced depending on how severe the rule has been violated. That means what the players think may be against the rules, could turn out to be not votekick-able by a mod's judgement. Be careful and pay attention to what happens/for what you vote.

The rule is simple.

Abusing votekick:

Using !votekick to spam or when the victim has not done anything wrong.

So a player lag's out in a previous game, these thing's happen. You do not votekick somebody for that.

Do you understand now?

Votekick is ment to be used for somebody who is ruining the game.

Ya as mentioned, I wasn't aware of this rule. I had no intention of kicking the player as I didn't start it (and I'm sure most, if not all of the others who voted and got banned for it didn't know and wouldn't have done it otherwise). Everyone started voting so I just voted along. Def wouldn't do it again.

Well now that you're aware, it's against the rules to do so. Appeal granted.
