Well past version I was trying to also fix the mess location of keys so I tried to achieve this form for all keys:

|q|w|e|r|
|a| s|d|f|
|z| x|c|v|

They correlate screen position and keyboard position.

But there are people that want the Z key, which is used to open up the build menu to be changed back to B button.

Even tho I like the neat formation of keys, I decided to ask what the majority wants.

So what is it?

B. Plain and simple.

well sometimes there is qwertz instead of qwerty keyboard setting so then z becomes y and the layout is gone

I don't like the B key either....



TAB key as my vote

TAB/Q/W/E/R/A/S/D/F

But I rather choose Z over B if those my only choices

yes but everywhere in every situation it remains the same with b. u can switch between keyboards during day, u can forget about that... I usually switch a lot from local to en and it might happen

Hey HellRaiser couldn't you give the build menu more then one hotkey?

and you can let them choose which hot key they prefer?

So B & Z does the same thing? and if you can add tab or even middle mouse button would be awesome. Build menu = Z/B/TAB Or MB
Then everyone wins!

Well, I dont even know if we are allowed to do that in wc3, but i will check it out. Tab tho its not viable option, its used for cycle in a group.


edit: apparently jass can't detect key strokes on its own, needs vjass additions. Aka shitload of work for just that tiny little thing. Did i mention am really short on time lately?
