They have changed the default game mode from -hpgmcb to -pr (noob mode)

What do you guys think about this?

Were any of you even aware that this was voted on seeing as it wasnt a thread in LTD x10 HELL?

And from what i can tell the suggestion was started by Yoshi (axl) which has played 2 x10 HELL games from her stats.

I have played almost 900 X10 HELL games and i think this is the dumbest thing i have ever heard of happening.

Also from what i can tell this was passed on votes made by only 7 players. Rediculous!!

Ya I never saw this vote at all and do not want Pr to be default it's not fun games go to 30 like 75% of the time because of how easy it is games will take way longer to fill if people don't say hp mode

Yeah I have to agree with Greymare. I am unsure as to when this vote happened or why it happened but its very concerning. For most users the -PR mode is simply a mode that looks designed to help new players familiarize themselves with all of the different units and it really takes away from the fun of the game for players who already know those units and have strategies on how to win games based off different unit combinations. I totally understand wanting to make this game more desirable for newer players but let's not sacrifice the pre-existing players to do so. We have seen it in many games such as WoW, LoL, HoN, SC2, D3, etc where game designers dumbed down the game to make it easier for beginner while not leaving any room for those that enjoy the difficulty and have experience in the game. I am totally ok with the mode being available, and even making a different bot designed for this, but to take away -hpgmcb all together and make -PR the designated mode for ALL players seems kind of ridiculous. Can we vote on this again with some of the more active players in the community?

ive played this pr mode about 10 times i think 7 or more of this time was above 20 lvl and end by draw because the people dced.... so greymare is ablolutely right this mode is only for fun dont even try it to make it default mode.... DONT RUIN OUR GAME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLZ!!!!

so -pr is the new default game mode, hmmmm, OPS! i haven't been announcing -hpgmcb in lobby lmao. didn't know it has been changed, oh well. Don't worry @HoLy_FeNta just try to be host everytime. but it seems majority still plays hpgmcb so don't think u have to worry about it to much.

According to the ENT Wiki page the default mode for [ent] legion hell 1100+ #, is still -hpgmcb Prophet. So i suggest we all start playing that bot and leave the noobs to there noob -pr mode

Trying a new mode that seem to be popular/on the rise, is not something bad. The suggestion was open for 12 days, so the responsibility was yours to keep an eye on what's being discussed on the forums in regards to the game you play, and share your opinion with us. Again, if phgmcb remains the more popular mode even while -pr being default, there will be no issue on ENT's end to revert it back if that is the community's wish. As of now, however, there should be no real issue as -phgmcb can easily be played either by sniping red spot and announcing, or playing on the HR bot.

As for DotA, the suggestion has been discussed and has been announced on social media, too. It really can't be our problem if the suggestions which are subject to discussion are not discussed by public players.

We can't do more than offer you the possibility to agree/disagree but you gotta do it.

Where was the announcement posted?

How is it none of the higher elo players i have spoken to know anything about this?

Was it posted in the LTD x10 HELL forum?

I dont really care, you guys can do whatever you want to do. Thats you right. But we can voice our disapproval of it as we are. That is our right.

I honestly feel that if there had of been a mention of this in the LTD x10 HELL forum seing as it directly impacts that game format then you would have gotten a much bigger response from the LTD x10 HELL community and a much different outcome ovcerall.

As i mentioned earlier aRt)Y i have logged almost 900 games on LTD x10 HELL, more then any other player in that community and i can easily tell you that i have a much better undersanding of what our community likes to play and what they want to be playing then what Yoshi could ever have.

The only reason i feel that i needed to say something about it and that i needed to start this thread is because of how passionate i am about this format of LTD.

-pr mode is great for new players and beginers but as an overall mode it is a bad idea, and aRt)Y i can tell you this is the general feeling throughout the higher ranked players in the HELL community. Since i heard this was happening i made a point of getting in touch with our players and heard what hey had to say about it, Some of which have replied on this thread as to let you be able to hear there views frst hand rather then hear say.

Yoshi is not a frequent player of LTD x10 HELL infact nefore today i had never seen her on there ever. So can you please tell me how she would have any idea at all of what is best for LTD x10 HELL, or even how she would have any idea of what the players want to play.

Even in the original post made by Yoshi she states that -hpgmcb is chosen more frequently then any other mode. On that bases alone it is clear to see that it is the prefered choice.

Trust me please aRt)Y i am not doing this to just have a whinge and complain or because i have nothing better to do with my time.
I am doing this because of how deeply passionate i am about this format of LTD and i understand what changing it to -pr is going to do and how it will impact and effect LTD x10 HELL and its community.

Thank-you aRt)Y for taking the time to read this and i hope you can understand my point of view.

I would really appriciate it if this can be put to a new vote so you can get a proper concences of what the community wants.
If it then comes back as -pr which i can tell you it will not, then that is fine and that is then how it will be.

If this is possible please let me know so i can let all members of my Clan ( Clan HELL) know that it will be taking place aswell as the wider LTD x10 HELL community. This way we will get a true outcome.

This is nuts............. PR mode should only be for fun.
With decent players it almost guarantees that games go over 20+ and over 1hr long.
My opinion, (have one of the highest game counts and highest elos) PR should by NO means should be the default game mode.
It's already difficult sometimes to end games with HELL now and PR mode makes it ridiculous.
It's a fun mode, I like having it available, but only for the occasional game not for the default.

I always like trying new things as well, and PR can be fun, but literally if u asked any player 1400+ elo, I can almost guarantee the answer would be a "hell no" for PR being default mode... and I'm not exaggerating.

@Greymare Well, you may re-post the suggestion to revert the change but your clan should definitely have a presence on the forum.

As mentioned on several topics already, ENT has no desire in ruining players' gaming experiences. We take suggestions, discuss them and approve or reject them. That's all we can do. Looking forward to seeing you guys here. :)
